I honestly had no problems with Baker bringing in Eyre and felt he did a pretty good job of managing the game. I just didn't like the fact that he left Eyre in there for too long.
I thought that was uncalled for. Dusty was calling a good game up to that point. That made no sense... I do agree that Baker was calling a pretty good game but you can't leave a relief pitcher on opening day for 37 pitches.
2003 was just the most amazing run for me. And when we pretty much had it in the bag and broke down piece by piece in Game 6 and 7..it was heart breaking. I'm sure all of us would love another run like 2003 again. Those were exciting times.
