  1. The cardinals might not be the best team but they are headed in the right direction and have a dynamic offense, especially now with Edge there. I would like to see them.
  2. He was injured. He and Kerry had the same surgery so I'm going to assume the problem has been corrected. I expect decent pitching from both when they return. Miller had the same problem as Borowski. Both decided to rest instead of surgery. With the rest of the offseason Miller came back and was pretty bad with a lot of lost velocity. If the surgery has helped him..well that remains to be seen.
  3. I think some of you are really counting on Miller to come here and be solid but when he was playing for the RSox he was pretty bad. HIs velocity was way down and this was after he decided to rest his shoulder and opt out of surgery. I have no confidence in him coming here and finding his old Astros form. I hope he does but it's too soon to be optimistic with him.
  4. Jacque might be worse than I though he would be. Oh well. I'm more concered about our starting pitching at the moment.
  5. Jones sucks, but let's not overreact. If we didn't have Jones on the team Hendry could have given more money to players who deserve bigger contracts, like Neifi and Rusch... I'm fine with that, but Jones is Roberto Clemente compared to Patterson. What is this comparison based on? Ummm...Sorry but I'd take Jones over Patterson any day of the week. Patterson can't even start for Baltimore. You realize Murton might not start for Baltimore? Am i Missing something :)
  6. People I wish were not on this team: Neifi, Rusch, Jaque.
  7. The genius of Hendry and his love for mediocrity. Wait, are you saying Glendon Rusch is not mediocre? If 4.87=4.00, then you are correct. Rusch had one good year in 2004 and that's it. Did you guys see his career numbers? He is mediocre..that's it.
  8. The genius of Hendry and his love for mediocrity. Why let FACTS get in the way of a good rant? Leave up to good ol' Badger to pop up as usual. I look at Rusch as a mediocre pitcher and his 4.5era last year is what it is...mediocre.
  9. It might look nicer but truth be told we dont know what we will get from them, especially Wade Miller.
  10. The genius of Hendry and his love for mediocrity.
  11. Because Hendry has a genius plan to overpay for the game savers Rusch and Neifi.
  12. Why is Rusch on this team? I hated that signing.
  13. I think Mitre has the talent to be very good. The way he pitched against Halladay was an amazing pitching performance. That being said, there was no room for him here.
  14. Wow, what a great comeback by the Bulls. The UC crowd was going nuts today in the 4th quarter.
  15. This is amusing http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=topbaseballshotheads&prov=tsn&type=lgns
  16. I would rather have the bud light sign outside the park than inside.
  17. Why not? So mistakes are ok as long as we win? If somebody wants to be critical about a certain aspect of the game then by all means they can be.
  18. If Hendry gets extended there is a very good chance we have to deal with Baker for another 2 years..ugh.
  19. I didn't find any problem with the double-switches. The only thing I didn't like is Eyre throwing 37 pitches.
