  1. :club: I guess I should thank Vance, then. :)
  2. Ya, he did. He looked just like this: b Funny, but backwards. The dude singing looked 10-15 years older than me. I'm almost positive it was Bob Seger, age 61.
  3. Make a new one. Keep posting it. Colored ink aint cheap :( Even if the Cards were swept in 4, I'd spend a few hundred bucks on colored ink. Invest in markers.
  4. Make a new one. Keep posting it.
  5. I'll take the jersey. I've PM'd USSoccer. Oops...I mean the women's jersey. :D
  6. And furthermore, when did Molina get categorized in the "good hitting" department?
  7. Yay. Double yay.
  8. It was an awesome catch and I also thought for sure after that the Mets would pull it off. Alas, they did not. Oh well, I'm rooting for Detroit regardless of who won the NL.
  9. Congratulations to Heather and Mark. May their daughter grow up a healthy person with loving parents.
  10. What was the first prize taken? The Hall of Fame prize -- I highlight it in blue and put the username of the person who chose it next to it so people will know what's been taken when their turn comes up. Ah...I gottcha. Wasn't looking that closely.
  11. What was the first prize taken?
  12. Wish granted. Congratulations to the Detroit Tigers.
  13. I'll root for the Mets to beat the Cardinals but I'm hoping the Tigers win it all.
  14. Bruce - Thanks for taking time for this! How difficult is it to watch this team and then write about them when they are so terrible? What moves do you foresee for the Cubs this winter? Thanks again for all your contributions.
  15. Say what you want about their athletics, but they have one of the top hospitals in the world. My family feels very fortunate that we live as close as we do to Iowa City for that purpose. I had a cousin with a terminal illness and, at the time, only about 20 other people in America were diagnosed with it and the only hospital in America that was studying/trying to treat it was Iowa City. Every time he needed a treatment or got sick, he had to go to Iowa City...it was so nice being so close to that hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away but it's comforting to know he had top-notch care so close to home whenever he needed it.
  16. My friend's boyfriend is one of them. He also like having Neifi on the team. :pukel:
  17. As much as this team sucked this year and drove many of us mad, I'll miss watching baseball this coming fall/winter.
  18. :banned: Yeah, check the NSBB Facebook group to see what he thinks about that. For those of us who can't use facebook, can you copy and paste me a blurb...even if it's via pm. This is the extent of it. IMB's responses had me laughing pretty hard. Again, please share.
  19. I'll actually get to watch this game. I've been out of town and haven't seen a game in a long time...even when they suck, I still miss watching them. On a side note, I was in Florida on job interviews last week and I interviewed with Kyle Farnsworth's girlfriend's mother. I saw a picture of them together. She told me that Kyle and his girlfriend loved Chicago, the team and the fans and they miss it a lot.
  20. I haven't heard about the suspension. I think that will be decided on Monday. But, I think he is still hurting from two days ago. What happened 2 days ago?
  21. Tim, are you able to deduct any of these expenses on your tax return as a business loss? With my brief experience preparing taxes, it seems to me that some (or all - I don't know all the details behind your operation) of the expenses should be able to used as a business loss/gain (obviously a loss right now). I know that won't help in making more money but it would help a bit with the taxes. yep, any loss I have is deductable. Which helps a bit. We've been told at work that the government only allows a loss on one business for 5 years...after that time, they expect the business to take off so it should be showing a profit at some point. Were you aware of that? At least you can take the loss on the taxes. It's better than nothing. Yep. I've got a couple more years to get this to turn a profit, though. :D Ah, I couldn't remember when you started this site. So, if you don't ever turn a profit (scary thought, huh?), can you just not claim the loss on the 6th year and then start right back up and get another 5 years of loss to take? (I probably should know this, seeing as I'm a tax preparer!) I don't know. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Good luck with it all! And keep up the good work here.
