  1. Wow, that's just a terrible photoshop. That's the best that phag could come up with?
  2. So, credential wise, is kU the worst team in the history of the BCS? None of the teams they beat got a single top 25 vote this week. Not one.
  3. Hahaha, you say that like Illinois actually deserves to be in a BCS bowl.
  4. Oh so you go to kU? They don't have the championship rich history of the Tigers, that's for sure. This coming from an Illinois guy? Well, we have played in January in my lifetime. That's true. Which loss was your favorite? Of Missouri's? Probably one of the Oklahoma games. If only the Fiesta would've had a chance to do the honorable thing and picked Missouri for OU/Mizzou III. Surely Missouri would cover this time around. No no, which Illinois loss in January was your favorite? The time they got shut out by Clemson? What about when they got blown out by UCLA? I think January '08 will be my favorite Illinois loss, but we'll see.
  5. Once again this argument would hold weight if OSU had barely beaten these "weak" teams, but outside of 2 games all year(Illinois and Mich St) they dominated everybody. They allowed more than 17 points 1 time all year, and averaged over 32 points. Its not like Mizzou played a juggernaut of a schedule. Every SOS measure has Mizzou with a significantly better SOS. They played a team better than anyone OSU has played, and played them twice(neither at home). And they lost both times, and the 2nd time the game was never really in question. OK dominated Mizzou yesterday. I agree Mizzou got screwed but it was at the expense of KU not U of I or Ohio State. Let's not get carried away here. If you look at the numbers, we actually lead in nearly every category in the first half. We stayed in the locker room in the 2nd half, I'll give you that. But to say that we got "dominated" is a complete lie. OU's D dominated that game. They didn't dominate anything. OU had 60 more total yards than Mizzou. They didn't dominate our offense. At all. They just made plays when they had to. Look, I'll be the first to admit that they played a better game than us and deserved to win. But, again, to say that they dominated us just simply isn't true.

  10. Not to repeat what others have already said, but... kU being in a BCS game and Mizzou not is just absolutely [expletive]. They play crap teams all year, get embarrassed for 3 out of 4 quarters against the first good team they play, and then get in a BCS bowl over said team? How the hell does that make sense?
  11. Well the rules made Illinois irrelevant. The choice pretty much had to come down to Arizona State or Illinois and Missouri or Kansas. I understand the system. I'm just saying that it's such crap that those two teams (Illinois especially) are in BCS games, and the Tigers aren't.
  12. Yeah, this is some braindead decision making. Taking both kU AND Illinois over Mizzou is just silly stupid. What a bunch of idiots.
  13. That's probably one that Cowboys fans shouldn't be posting for the world to see.
  14. What time is everything going to be announced?
  15. Probably because up until this year most of us didn't even know Mizzou had a football team. You must not pay too close attention to college football, cause before Daniel (note the spelling, IMB), there was this guy named Brad Smith who was setting NCAA records left and right.
  16. Nice to see another person that doesn't know what our QB's last name is.
  17. I've always liked Chone Figgins quite a bit. I wonder what it would take to acquire him.
  18. Dude is such a beast. I'm telling you, what you saw on that play is the norm when it comes to trying to tackle him.
  19. Link. That's our very own Jim Hendry there folk....looking for someone left-handed who can run. Oh Jesus! Carl Crawford, your table is ready. Bring him home from Nashville, Mr. Hendry. But why does Hendry come out and essentially say exactly what we're looking for? Does he not realize that he loses hand in potential trades when other teams infer that we need (and are willing to overpay for) their players? Makes no difference what Hendry or any other GM says in the press. Every GM knows what every other GM is looking for. It's a very small world, and if you remember, the GMs all had a big show and tell meeting at the GM meetings last month, upsetting the players association to no end. Thanks for your reply, Bruce. Do you believe that the Cubs will soon obtain what they're looking for since Hendry and other GMs have been so straightforward about their needs? Also, is the MLBPA alleging collusion again, and if so, will there be action taken against owners? Have a great time in Nashville. Thanks in advance for helping to keep us in the loop! Don't know if a collusion case will be filed. After all, Torii Hunter and Scott Linebrink did pretty well for themselves. As far as getting what the Cubs want, we'll see. It takes two to deal, whether it's a trade or a free-agent signing. I don't see Tampa Bay trading Crawford, especially after they dealt Young. His contract is pretty favorable to the Rays, anyway. The Cubs No. 1 target is Fukudome. We'll see what happens there, too. The Cubs will be dangling several of their pitchers. When you say dangling several of their pitchers, do you mean just putting their names out and saying that they can be had for the right price, or actively trying to trade them? And which pitchers are you referring to? Anyone that might surprise us?
  20. But is he fast? Because if not, there won't be interest.
  21. Why are you so against signing him for the bench? As a part time player, he had very very good numbers in '05 (.299/.360/.510) and above average numbers in '06 (.273/.340/.466). One question that I would have but don't know the answer to is, why did he not play in the majors in '07? But looking at his numbers the two years prior to that, I can't see how anyone wouldn't want him sitting on the bench.
  22. Harpo's in Columbia, or are you talking about Harpo's in Chesterfield? If Chesterfield, I'll be there. I absolutely cannot wait for this game. I had an offer to go, but I didn't want to pay $600 for a flight. So I'll be watching it on TV. M-I-Z...
  23. 50 Prime games, 25 Regular games and 6 Value games. Ouch.
  24. This is my number one concern. I would absolutely love it if St. Louis starts worrying about Albert and his desire to stay here. Come on, Albert. Say something -- anything! -- that will make people question your loyalty to the team.
  25. Thank God. I hope that Fukudome doesn't go to Houston as a result though. Now what other crappy MIF is available for Hendry to acquire?
