  1. I haven't heard anything, but does anyone know when Cards tickets go on sale? I know they have the all inclusive ones on sale now, but what about single game? I remember they went on sale after Cubs tickets last year, I would assume it would be that way again.
  2. Are people really comparing Eli Manning to Rex Grossman? I hate Eli Manning, but I'm not about to say he's Grossman bad. Come on now.
  3. You say it like it only happened once.
  4. Cool, thanks Vance. That's the Friday after President's Day... three day work week!
  5. Did you hate John Elway too? What about Bo Jackson? I was pretty indifferent on Elway. And who could hate the man who dominated Tecmo Bowl?
  6. I guess I'll be rooting for the Giants, but I'm going to find it tough to root for Eli Manning. I hate that whiny little bitch. I'll never root for New England though.
  7. Wow, can't believe he made that. Damnit, the Giants are going to get absolutely murdered in the Super Bowl. That game is going to be a bore. Edit: d.a.m.n.i.t. is censored??? Hahaha.
  8. Very descriptive blogger with a lot of information versus this post with two sentences. Unless you have anything to back up your claim, I'm gonna go ahead and continue to assume that it's true.
  9. Mod edit: The following url will open up the VWR at 9:30 AM Central Friday morning: http://frontline.purchasenow3.tickets.com/buy/MLBEventInfo?orgid=5&agency=MLB&trxstate=8 You can open as many windows and/or tabs as your computer can handle. All you will have to do is paste the URL into each window/tab. If you are using Firefox, I recommend downloading and configuring Tab Mix Plus to be able to keep as many tabs visible as you wish, as well as configure their width. Once Tab Mix Plus is installed, go to tools --> tab mix plus options --> display --> "Tab Bar" tab. Here, adjust the "when tabs don't fit width" option to "multi-row" and increase the maximum number of rows to whatever you desire. It's okay if the tabs take up most of the screen since if you get through in one, you can go back to the options and decrease the number of rows until your transaction is complete. It is also recommended that you create a cubs.com account beforehand and make sure your billing information is stored. You will have to re-enter your credit card info each time and confirm your email address, but the rest of the information should be pre-filled. Any other tips will be edited in here, as well, although check the entire thread for updates from other members. Q: Little help here guys/gals with Firefox. I open a new tab, but its blank. How can I open the same tab over and over again without copying the URL? The tab says (Untitled). A: Open up the URL into one tab and just hit control+alternate+T. You can do it before 9:30 and use the "reload all tabs" function of tab mix plus, as well. It'll take up a lot of memory to begin with since they'll be loading at the same time, but they'll begin to stagger out a bit pretty quickly. Q: The VWR automatically switches into ticketing if you are selected right? If so, what does the tab title generally change to? A: The tab or window title will change from "Virtual Waiting Room" to "Chicago Cubs Ticketing." If you have a bunch of windows and/or tabs open, just look for the first letter to change from a "V" to a "C," although it will display http://frontline... while it's refreshing. Q: Where is the "reload all tabs" option? A: I don't think it's a standard feature of Firefox, but if you have Tab Mix Plus (or possibly in a different tab management plugin), just right-click on one of the tabs and that option will be available. If it isn't, go into Tab Mix Plus options --> menu --> Tab Context Menu --> and check reload all tabs. I'm not sure if I have an older version or not, though, but it should be pretty similar. Also, you can decide use the "protect tab" feature to remove the close tab button on the tab. The yellow icon it places on the tab may also make it easier to keep track of which tab you're working on in case you go to a different window. The other thing is that like always, be prepared to have to hit refresh a lot to resubmit your ticket request once you get through. It can take a while to actually get tickets, but last year they seemed to dedicate a lot more bandwidth towards processing orders once tickets are reserved, so losing an order shouldn't be a big problem unless you take too long to enter in your information. And again, double check your cubs.com login information and wallet preferences. Q: Also if half my window is taken up with tabs, and one gets through, how do I maximize that screen so I don't have half my screen taken up with tabs? A: The best option would be to go back into the Tab Mix Plus options and reduce the number of visible rows back down to something more manageable until you complete the order. Or, if you want, you can protect the tab you get through in (just to be sure) and then right-click on the tab and pick the "close other tabs" option. That will close all of the other tabs, but I'd be a little worried about making a mistake at that point. Mizzou's original post: I think I posed this question in another thread a day or two ago, but I don't recall where exactly. Anyways, I've been trying to figure out when regular season tickets go on sale but haven't had any success. Anyone know?
  10. Great read, I saw that earlier this morning. Pretty much confirms what most of us thought about the Prior situation.
  11. I wish I would have known about this. Would've been nice to get an email about it. Oh well, I'll just hope for the best when VWR day rolls around. When is that, anyways? I need to schedule that day off.
  12. I don't know why anybody would assume that. He's a big fat 38 year old coming off surgery. He was basically just above average at his best. And barely hanging onto average recently. I would not assume that he'll be able to maintain averageness even if he is healthy. Grow up. Is it really necessary to call him fat? You've done so several times in this thread.
  13. I voted yes and no, only because I could. I wouldn't do it. Moreso because I'm not that high on Bedard than anything else.
  14. So Packers-Patriots in the Super Bowl... that should be a great game!
  15. I REALLY don't want to hear all about how Tony Romo boning Jessica Simpson all week in Cabo caused the Cowboys to lose.
  16. Seconded. What's it been, two months now?
  17. I've hated them since they beat the Rams in the Super Bowl. And on the whole running up the score thing... that's lame. No one is expecting them to take a knee on every play when they're up big. But they shouldn't just air it out when they're up by 3 TD's in the fourth quarter. That's classless.
  18. My bad on the name, there's a mod on PSD with that name, I just got it confused. By the way, Stones exact words were "If the Dodgers are dangling Izturis for Ramirez straight up, you hold off, but if they include a prospect, it's a deal that has to be made". Then he replied that a Cedeno/Izturis infield is one that "lasts for 10 years". I remember that day vividly. That's amazing that you remember his exact words from a random day two years ago. No offense, but I doubt he said that.
  19. Man, F the freaking Patriots. I hate those bastards.
  20. What's the 40 man roster look like?
  21. At best? I'd say that Fukudome at worst replaces the RF production from last year.
  22. Is that Jerome Walton? Ha, what's he up to these days?
  23. Never seen this before, but I just came across it while reading a Cards forum... http://www.doubledogmusic.com/images/2005/choi_slams_rolen.jpg
  24. The whole quoting of Soto's name is pretty lame. It was funny the first time, but what is this now? The 80th time it's been done? Think of something new.
