  1. Tony Romo is so money.
  2. It's not a strategic/statistical book that you asked about, but "Where's Harry?" is a great read if you grew up with Harry on WGN.
  3. To start Laverneus Coles, or not to. It seems like he's a game time decision every week. What is the likelihood that he plays today, anyone know?
  4. Why are you so down on Pie? I'm not that high on him at all, but it sounds like you think he'll be a complete bust. Why?
  5. I wonder where Hendry sees Figgins fitting in. If he's looking at him as an everyday CF-er, then I think it's a great addition.
  6. Can anyone else other than a Cubs minor leaguer's dad confirm that Tejada to the Astros is a done deal?
  7. ... I probably laughed more than I should have at your response to that.
  8. You are making far too much sense for this discussion. All Star Games=meaningless Leadoff Hitter= not a position. Rickey Henderson = leadoff hitter.
  9. If we acquire those three guys, I'm going to be a very happy man.
  10. I get excited every time the page takes longer than normal to load, thinking that something big may have happened since I last clicked here in hopes that everyone here to read about it and discuss it is causing the servers to stall.
  11. I don't want to be too pessimistic, cause I'm really hoping that we can land this guy... but, Will Carroll isn't exactly good at this kind of stuff, is he? Or maybe I'm confusing him with someone else.
  12. How serious are these talks, I wonder. I really like Brian Roberts, he'd look very good hitting between Sori and Lee. Soriano Roberts Lee Fuk Aramis That's a solid 1-5.
  13. 1. Lofton would be great. I've been wanting him signed since he left. I'm a big KLo fan. 2. Do you not realize how lame the stamp of approval thing is? If not, I hope you do soon.
  14. 1. Babe Ruth 2. Ted Williams 3. Barry Bonds 4. Honus Wagner 5. Willie Mays 6. Hank Aaron 7. Josh Gibson 8. Cy Young 9. Lou Gehrig 10. Joe DiMaggio 11. Rickey Henderson 12. Roger "The Rocket" Clemens 13. Alex Rodriguez 14. Sandy Koufax 15. Jimmie Foxx 16. Pedro Martinez 17. Ty Cobb 18. Mel Ott 19. Rogers Hornsby 20. Albert Pujols 21. Stan Musial 22. Nolan Ryan 23. Mickey Mantle 24. Walter Johnson 25. Sammy Sosa 26. Satchel Paige 27. Greg Maddux 28. Cap Anson 29. Manny Ramirez
  15. Addition by subtraction, good move by Hendry. Although it's all been minor moves so far, I've been very pleased with Hendry's moves this offseason. How much money are we freeing up in this deal?
  16. I read on Cardstalk that there is a possible Scott Rolen for Chris Capuano trade being discussed.
  17. What does that have to do with anything? They still played a weak schedule and got rewarded for it.
  18. Easy: Kansas - 1 loss Missou - 2 losses You must've missed where I said the word "valid."
  19. I don't necessarily disagree with that statement. But no one has been able to present a valid argument as to why Kansas should be in the Orange Bowl rather than Mizzou. And no, because Mizzou wasn't competitive in the 2nd half of a game kU wasn't even able to get to isn't a valid argument.
  20. Mizzou

    Cedeno

Was that when he was trying to be a switch hitter? As has been said a million times, those numbers don't mean anything because most of those at bats were as a left handed hitter, whereas he bats right handed.
