Not to bring something up that I'm sure has been beat to death in the last 10 pages, but... seriously? Nearly 16M per year for Jason Schmidt isn't bad to you? That's awful in my eyes, especially when you look at the deal that Chris Carpenter just signed. Chris Carpenter was under team control for the next two years at a pretty low price, so he didn't have much room to ask for more. Still though, Chris Carpenter is going to make 13M for the next 5 years while Jason Schmidt is going to make 16M. Schmidt's contract is in no way a good one, not for the Dodgers that is. It's really a 4/61 deal (not 3/57, don't know where I pulled that number from) Even if you look at it that way, it just helps to prove my point that the Dodgers overpaid bigtime.
