Personally, Id rather see Cotts up than Eyre. Maybe Marshall can prove himself in AAA, but with Lous mentality lately, it wont really matter. I agree with LLF, Cotts has been piching real well at Iowa. Why not give him a shot? There are rules about major league players and rehab assignments. Basically, they had to bring up Eyre pretty soon anyway or cut him. He's also a veteran the Cubs invested a bad contract in, so rules or no rules, he was getting first dibs. So he was the first guy to call it? I hope Eyre can at worst be average and this will also help Marshall as well so he can do what he's suppose to do, start. Imagine if the Cubs released/traded both Marquis and Eyre in a couple of weeks?
