Yu is pitching for the Cubs. Unless he is much better than in the past, the Cubs will lose. I will be at the game. So will a bunch of other Cubs fans. Not liking our chances with p-Yu on the mound. Or the bats against the Jakester. Too many things going against the Cubs. Gopher balls have been a problem for p-Yu. Overly impressive, he has not been in a Cubs uniform. Or eben the slightest imprssive. Damn, Theo, for that signing. Bryce is coming into town. Really - 9 for 56 before this weekend series with 1 bomb and only 6 RBI Yet he goes 5 for 12 with 2 dongs and 6 RBI leading up to this series. C'mon Bryce. Can't you slump a while longer? Elevate you game after this series. What's the over/under on his HRs this series? I think he hits at least three. Love to see him K a bunch. Like he was doing prior to this weekend. Maddon sends a guy named "Kyle" to the mound tonight. You know, the guy we like to compare to Maddux. Good things have happened of late when he pitches. Although he's struggled in "away" games. Maybe he can right the ship tonight Even just a decent performance should be good enough. Why? Well... The Nats are countering with a guy named "Jeremy". Hellickson, that is, and he's not very good. Really, ours boys should have the advantage in tonight's game. Everything points to a win. And another series win. Despite the bottom of the order being pretty putrid. So it'll be up to the top half of the order and Kyle. And hopefully the bullpen won't suck if they're called on. Rather just have Kyle be masterful and the offense dongs the hell out of the Nats tossers tonight. Everyone would be quite pleased with that outcome. Last time I started a game thread, I posted a picture of a turd signifying the Cubs play to start the season. And it didn't help as the Cubs lost their 2nd of the season en route to losing 7 of their first 9. Maybe I'll try a different approach. Emojis are taboo on this board, and I don't know how to make cool .gifs. So I'll just stick with a picture. I know, it's lame. ! ! ! !

The Vaunted Brewers have scored on Raisel Iglesias in the 9th to win the game, beat the Reds and Castillo, scored 5 in 4 to tag de Grom with a loss, scored 5 in 5 to tag Syndergaard with a loss, won the game Scherzer pitched, beat Strasburg by scoring 4 in 6.2, and knocked Nola out of the game after just 3 innings (although they lost). Not interested in hearing how tough the Cubs schedule is or who is pitching. Just win
