Does Peavy keep the "No Trade Clause" through the remainder of the contract even if he is dealt this year to another team? Does he keep it for the remainder of the contract or once he waives it, it's gone for good? The reason I ask is because if he waives the NTC completely (for the remainder of the contract), this could be a great trade for the White Sox or any team that gets him. You're basically getting a great pitcher early in the season that could be traded AGAIN nearer to the deadline in July when teams get desperate, thus getting back a better package than you gave up. You could also trade him in the off season or next year, again, getting more than you gave up.
