    So I don't really kow what to make of his defense. Thoughts?? He is a lump who catches more balls because the cubs have three left handed starting pitchers and thus face more right handed batters, and because Almora is also a lump. Also everyone is running on his not awful arm giving him lots of opportunities. ETA: I’m mostly joking. Mostly.

    The Red Sox led MLB in SLG% in 2016 and were 9th in Dongs with Chili there. Idk, I think it’s just noise or other factors than Chili being a Dong/power killer. A chili dong. Success against the fastball? Chili cheese dong.

    I thought the same thing. Margin of error: 10 pitches. That one was awful. only counts as .75 pitches. If you’re not sure you counted right, “about 30” is pretty safe and doesn’t sound stupid.

    I just looked it up because it’s been a while since I did. 23rd in the league in K% and we’re closer to being 27th than we are 22nd. Rogers is such a horsefeathering dunce They entered Tuesday with MLB's second-lowest/best K% in May (19.2). And the second-best BB% in May (11.1%). And the best OBP in May by 9 points (.352). Those are good trends. Remember all those stories about babies conceived after game 7 of the 2016 series? No offense, but Your username makes me think about that but with STDs.

    That’s awful for those kids, but that’s a ridiculous thing to boo a guy over. And knowing Rizzo he’ll visit them in the hospital, if they are still there, or send them some gear and signed stuff. I agree 100%, but the prevailing sentiment at the park tonight was that Rizzo eats babies.

    BTW, most of the talk in the stadium about booing Rizzo is “he hit three kids with foul balls yesterday and two were sent to the hospital” Not his fault and a stupid reason to boo, but it adds to the hate. I was here yesterday too. One of those kids was hit hard in the face.

    yes it hit the pole which is fair Definitely saw it hit something. Everyone here in section 1 (at the base of the fair/foul pole) is convinced it was the stairwell railing. All 12 of us.

    I’m sitting near the right field foul pole and Schwarbs’ homer looked foul. Bounced off stairwell railing. Replay on game day jumps bad. Was it definitely fair? BTW, I am officially Cubs good luck charm now. You all should buy me tickets every game. Also support my family so I can quit my job and go to all those games.
