Oh, dang, I forgot I posted that. Lol. After that pre-engineering support over the phone they asked me to come to site to help during the actual startup. No worries. Definitely a different post, but when you’re as close to crazy as I am, it doesn’t take much of a push!

    Since Russell will hit FA quite a bit younger, and since he received a $2.6M signing bonus, there isn't quite the same urgency for him to jump. And based on the year he had last year, I don't think there's quite the same urgency for the Cubs to offer him such an extension. Now, if he has a 4WAR season this year, the Cubs calculus might change, but Russell's is less likely to sign if he thinks he can sustain it. $2.6M doesn’t go very far with all the child support payments he has.

    Hah, I don't think I come across as crazy... I just don't see the point in talking about some weirdo that doesn't post here anymore. I think our forum here is actually really good in limiting trolls and stupid posters. Just take a look at 'cards talk' or GRB lol. I remember before I started posting here that some stupid Christian Cardinals fan tried to have conversations with posters here right? He had some "interesting" thoughts and I believe he kind of was a troll. No Cardinals fan ever tried to post here to have an intelligent conversation. Once the Cubs got really good he never posted here again. I mean no one mentions that idiot anymore either. Confirmed.

    Didn't 2 Broke Girls get cancelled? I've never heard of this sitcom. Why would you get Addison Russell? I hope he didn't take any swings while they were filming. If he did then some of the film crew better watch out lol. Not sure if this is a "Russell loses baseball bats while swinging" joke, or a "Russell sleeps around (swings) and gets girls pregnant" joke. Either way, he has trouble controlling his swing

    It’s up there if it isn’t the best with the others mentioned here but also Bobby Hill and some guy named Matt Bruback for Kenny Lofton and Aramis Ramirez was pretty damn great. Lofton was awesome in that 2003 playoff run and Ramirez goes without saying. I would guess that in terms of major league WAR not many trades in Cub history compare to the Aramis trade. Not quite Aramis level, but Choi for Lee was pretty awesome too.

    I think it only feels the way it does because we've known for two years that it was coming. He put together one of the best half seasons in the history of the game. He had one of the best seasons by a Cubs pitcher all time. He's #8 on the Cubs leaderboard in WPA (in just 4 seasons). 2 no hitters. Its a big loss, but between the fact that the Phillies are very likely paying for past performance, the fact that the rest of the team is awesome and easy to like, and the fact that we replaced him with someone better, yeah its not as big a deal moving forward as it is looking back.

    Apparently LaStella had his uniform taken away. He was parking in front office parking spots so they replaced his uniform with khakis and a polo shirt. He took grounders in his front office uniform.

    Ummm, what does this mean?? 8-[ That the new grip that makes his curveball better, might be the type of thing that makes him more injured-er. Meant as a joke, im sure. A scary, scary joke. The human elbow was not designed for the kind of torque that produces high spin rates.

    Gameday says freeman is at 2B and Chesny is a SS. Isn't this backwards? Does Young play SS? Does it matter? Is there anything really to talk about with this team during spring training this year? While I'm glad the team is so solid that there are no real position battles (Happ/Almora/Baez?Zobrist/Schwarber is the closest we have, but all will get time) it is kind of boring.

    I think they are back to the point of the cycle, since it’s ST and nobody has died yet, that they’ve talked themselves in to all their starters making it for 30+ starts and 200+ innings and if that happens look out! I remember that cycle. It was a dark, dark place.

    solution: trade heads with rizzo. Rizzo has a big head, just a tiny face. I think we're looking at a head swap with seal boy. Where’s B2B? There’s a three way deal here somewhere where Rizzos face on TLS head finds its way to Schwarber’s new body.
