slow bunt down first baseline, dlee charges, tags runner out. guy on 3rd was practically standing on the bag when contact was made. if runner had beat lee to ball, he's safe at first since no one is covering.
johnson hasnt had any PA's yet? ward has been used as in lead-off situations, which i guess explains it. i'd expect johnson to get an AB or two soon. edit: i forgot johnson is basically only to bat against LHP
i cant believe that hasnt happened more often. if you have an athletic pitcher who could cover some outfield, this could let you use a loogy or roogy twice in an inning. depending on when they have to bat you may not lose much at all.
i know kendalls throws will hurt the brewers, but also that it probably wont happen in games vs the cubs. i expect competent teams to take full advantage.
the reds have to pay hatteberg either way, so why not keep the kids in AAA and delay arby/FA years. / i dont really know their particular contract situations, but i'd assume the org to be cheap
do we have to bring up lees 2005 stats again? dominate everywhere except RBIs. even the dumbest broadcasters were bringing up the low obp in front of lee on the air. it was obvious to almost everyone.
