you think there would be enough pitching talent in AAA to exploit all these weaknesses, if they're that glaring. but he raked last year. i'd be interested to see how he did against the best AAA pitchers vs the roster fillers

Where did you hear that? i didnt really expect anyone to believe it just on my word alone. this was from a close friend of someone in padres org. some deal was about done, but was undone by JH. i dont know when it happened. i posted it hoping someone remembered hearing something similar, mostly curious about when it happened. obviously not last year with barretts value tanked. was there any time, maybe mid 2006 with ronny struggling or before 07, that the deal made sense on both sides? maybe i should've started a new thread.
