    Frankly, I'm going to enjoy seeing that big screen the 5-6 times I'm in my seats in that brand new stadium. I didn't go to the preseason game Friday, but I talked to a friend he did and he said it is amazing. He said the view on those screens are phenomenal!

    I've started an ESPN ff league with an online auction draft scheduled for 6. A lot of my invites still haven't joined, and I have to have a full league by 5 or the draft gets canceled. If anyone wants in, hit me up with your email asap and I'll start filling vacancies. If you get an invite, hurry and register so I'll know you're in and I can stop looking to fill spots.

    I remember when I finally got a Sandberg rookie card. The first one I got was the fleer...and then the Donruss, and finally I got a Topps one. I still prize those.

    I don't hate Sandberg at all, but I don't want him anywhere near the Cubs as manager. First of all, I'm pretty sure he'd suck as manager. Secondly, Ryno is my favorite all-time player and I'd hate for him to tarnish my affection for him by running the team into the ground by being its manager.

    There really was no worries. Even if Fielder had made it into the Dodgers locker room, he would have seen the clubhouse spread and have been immediately distracted.

    According to rotoworld, he signed a minor league deal with the Brewers.

    I remember in 2003 when I ran into Prior in Houston and got him to sign a ball for me. I was ecstatic. Now, that ball would be worth more if he had never put a pen to it. So sad....

    Quite a few Cubs are available...including the 2009 Cubs page. Notables are Derrek Lee, Milton Bradley, and Kevin Gregg.

    I'm not disappointed at all. I somewhat hoped that we would pick up Zaun without paying too much. A middle infield bat might have been nice too, but there really weren't many of those to be had. I definitely wouldn't have paid what the Giants did to acquire Sanchez.

    Yankees just traded for Jerry Hairston Jr.

    Normally Wells would be the type of pitcher I would want us to sell high on in the offseason and use as a centerpiece of a significant upgrade. However, we have a lot of big contracts and will need cheap performance from somewhere. Because of that, it's probably best to keep Wells and pencil him in the back of the rotation.
