Fox, while coach of the Panthers, had some good things to say about Tebow after his pro day. Whether he still believes any of that, I don't know. A lot may depend on who the OC is and how he feels about Tebow or Orton.
These are some of the names being rumored as possible OC candidates at LSU: Jim Chaney (OC at Tenn), Paul Chryst, Major Applewhite, Kenny Edenfield (OC at Troy) and the darkhorse- Terry Bowden.
LSU and Miles have agreed to a 7-year contract extension. also, there are lots of rumors floating around that Crowton is out as LSU's OC, but Crowton is currently denying it.
Link Miles is staying at LSU. While I'm happy now, I'm sure I'll be bitching about this some time next year, probably while I'm watching him do some inexplicable vs Oregon in Cowboys Stadium on the first game of the year.
Most reports are that nothing definitive has been decided with Miles. He's expected to speak in Dallas today at the American Coaches Conference. LSU officials will meet with him before he makes a decision. What he's going to do really depends on who you are listening to. There are some reports that Miles really, really wants the Michigan job. There are some reports that Miles only listened to the Michigan offer because he felt obligated to do so and never intended on leaving LSU. Some reports are that he just wants more money and security from LSU. And there's a whole lot of stories in between. I really don't think anyone knows what's really going to come out of it.
Cowboys have said Ray Sherman will not be back with the team in 2011. Link Some speculation that Garrett wants Univ of Tenn coach Charlie Baggett for the position. Dew, what can you tell me about him?
Two teams I did not want to see even make it to the Super Bowl were Saints and Eagles. This has been a good weekend. I haven't decided on my rooting interests for the rest of the playoffs. I figured I would be rooting against those two a little longer. Very good outcomes this weekend.
Miles reportedly told the team after the Cotton Bowl that he would not be going to Michigan. Also, he has told LSU officials that if he interviews, he will give them a 24 hr notice and he has yet to give that. The feeling in Baton Rouge is that Miles will not be going to Michigan.
So many people love to criticize Miles, and yes, I've done it too from time to time... but he gets it done. Check this out For LSU that is 11 wins for the fourth time in six seasons. Miles is now 5-1 in bowl games with LSU outscoring opponents 215-87.
