900K or not, I just don't see the need for hand wringing over Doug Davis. Davis has been a serviceable starter over his career. I don't think he will in any way impede Cashner returning to the rotation, unless there are concerns about Cashner's well being. I don't expect much from Davis, but he probably can't be any worse than Russell. We need to do something about that fifth spot, and Davis if nothing else, has been a soild pitcher when healthy. Considering the other options available, I'm not going to get upset over Davis in the rotation.

I'm not optimisitic about this game. If everything goes well, I should make it home to watch around the 4th-5th inning. I hope it's not a blow out by then.

As far as names go, I wonder how air-tight Daniels's contract is with the Rangers and if we could somehow get him.

Gosselin historically has the best mock...especially the first round. I think he's correctly picked the Cowboys pick for the past six or seven years running.

I'm curious why you don't like Murray. He seems like he could be a really good second back. There were other players I wanted there. It's not so much I don't like Murray; I just didn't think he was the best pick at that point. My guess is Barber is gone now. Really curious as to why the did so little on the defensive side of the ball. I guess Jones wants FA's to restructure the D in hopes of making a run this next season. I really wanted Aaron Williams in the 2nd round. I think that Ryan likes what we have on defense. The unit looked bad last year, but the year before was really good. I think they hope to re-sign our FA at DE and get a safety in FA. This really wasn't the draft class to address safety, but I wish we had gotten Duenta Williams late. I think Carter adds some speed to our ILB corp which has been needed.

The lock-out is killing my favorite post draft activity which is the frantic signing of UDFA. A few interesting players that I really like are- Duenta Williams, S Joseph Lefeged- S Terrance Tolliver- WR Cedric Thorton- DT Pat Devlin- QB

I like all of the Cowboys picks except for Murray. I'm hoping for two of Duenta Williams, Jerrel Powe, or Terrance Tolliver in rounds 6/7.

Colt fans will like Nevis. He's a little undersized, but plays with a fierce intensity.

The Patriots were the one team that really takes no risk while picking Mallett. They have a ton of picks and do not have an immediate need for QB.

I absolutely hate that pick for Dallas. Too many other needs to take a RB. I can number at least 20 guys I would have rather taken there.

Three safeties off the board in the second that I thought were third rounders.

Bowers is a good pick there. Tampa has rebuilt that D-line.

I thought that was a little early for Gilchrist.
