It hasn't been brought up at all. If he's mentioned for a head coaching gig, I think he'd obviously be receptive towards that. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure he'll be around next year. The reason I'm asking, is his name is being tossed around Cowboy circles as a possible DC for the Cowboys if Garrett gets the job. He was Garrett's choice when he interviewed for the Baltimore position. Now, I'm not saying he would leave Green Bay, but Jones is known to overpay if it's someone he wants. I also know if he's under contract, Dallas can't talk to him without permission. I was just wondering if his contract was up or would he be out of the question. no offense, vance, but that's a dallas crack-pipe dream. It may be, but if his contract expires, Dallas could interview him. While he might prefer GB, I'm fairly certain Jerry will pay more than GB and probably add Asst HC to his title. It's also true that Garrett wanted Capers as his DC had he taken the Baltimore job. He turned that down and GB ended up hiring Capers. Capers contract according to sources ends at the end of the season. When that happens, Dallas would be free to interview him, even if it is a lateral move. Now, I have no way of knowing whether Capers would be interested or not. Neither does anyone else without personal connection to him.
