    One way to limit abuses would be to not allow 7-day DL stints to be retroactive to a player's last appearance like the 15 day DL allows.

    I'm sick of all of the penalties in general. I like what Roy Williams has been doing though. I agree. But those two penalties, the one from this week and last week, seem rather ticky tacky. Offense looking a little better, but I'm nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

    If either Auburn or LSU go undefeated, they will be in the title game. I'm pretty sure that would be true of Missouri or or Oklahoma or Okie State or Michigan State as well. If either of those teams, run the gauntlet, they will have some very impressive wins. Only one of LSU or Auburn can go undefeated because they play each other. I have no belief LSU will go undefeated, but if they do they will have beaten North Carolina, West Virginia, Florida, Bama, Auburn, Arkansas, and whoever they'd play in an SEC title game. Auburn would have had a similar run if they go undefeated. I would think if you have an unbeaten from any BCS conference, they will be in the title game barring that there is more than two.

    I don't see this as that big of a deal. Quade would have little problems retaining Larry. Sandberg won't have the pull to pick his entire staff. He just wants to manage and my guess, he would not turn down a job because he can't bring in his own guy. Wedge might have some preferences, but I doubt he has problems working with Larry or Rudy. Girardi is likely the only one who would have an issue among the main candidates. Valentine or Torre might want their own staffs, but I don't see either one of those likely candidates.

    I'd love it if the NFL gave Favre a 4-game suspension...or even two games. Goodell doesn't have the balls to do it, though.

    There is no way in hell I am going anywhere near Arlington on Sunday. Vance you might as well an park on Saturday night. If you wanna re-think that, I currently have an extra ticket to the Cowboys game if you want to join me. If so, let me know quickly, because I'm actively trying to find someone to go.

I have a season pass for a lot on Division St. It's about a mile away from the stadium on a used car lot, but the owner has a 14-passenger bus he uses to shuttle us to the stadium. I should be ok. If the Rangers end up playing Sunday (the game would start at noon), I might arrive early, try to get a single for the Rangers game and watch it until time to head to the Cowboys game.

    Looking forward to being at the Cowboys game Sunday. I hope to see more of what we did in Houston and less of what we did in the first two games. We're only 1/2 game out of the division, even with the atrocious start. A nice run and things could look good. We have 3 home games in the month of October, so hopefully we can go on a little winning streak.

    I lived in DFW awhile and still go to a Rangers game if I visit people over there during the summer. I was at the Rangers first ever playoff game in 1996. If I have a second favorite team, it's the Rangers. So, I guess I'd like to see them win. I won't be terribly upset if they don't.

    All I'm hoping for is either the Rays or Rangers to win their series in 3. If it goes to game four, it's going to be a cluster[expletive] trying to get out of the Cowboys game on Sunday with the Rangers hosting a playoff game and the shared parking lots between the two stadiums.

    I hope this is true. I hate paying regular season prices for preseason tickets I can't sell. Another regular season game would be great.

    You think the Vikings are going to sit a 20 million dollar quarterback? There is a better chance of me kicking for the Cowboys this season than them benching Farve right now. You kicking for the Cowboys could be better than what we have now.

    That should have been a TD. At no time did I think Johnson didn't have control. It wasn't an instance of him hitting the ground and dropping the ball.
