I'm guessing he doesn't because of this: your player isn't getting very much PT right now Yea but (and trying to argue within their criteria) he is making more than at least one of the three other OF'ers and at 215 ABs he's not too far behind the 250-270 range of the others. And the other teams don't have as many better options as this team. And he's been promised more upcoming ABs.

Hoping for Kerry maybe taking the optimism a touch too far. However, I think that this team is going to make some good things happen this second half. I knew I should have put money on the Cubs to at least be playing in October once I found out in February that my girlfriend was pregnant and due in October. So of course they would be playing in October when I cannot be there.

Cust is precisely the reason the A's are bringing Piazza back as a catcher. He was supposed to start his rehab stint in Sacramento but when the A's made this decision they gave him some extra time to make sure his shoulder was ready before he started throwing. And its not working. I think the A's are concluding that his arm won't be healthy enough to be back behind the plate this year. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/4928/news -

Why don't we just focus on the Cubs winning? If they do that everything else will take care of itself at this point. Worry about scoreboard watching this intensively if we are down a couple games come September. There's too much baseball left for this.

I'm in this camp... well minus the "I still hope he makes it" sentiment. I think it's best that Z does not go... hopefully not going would light a fire under him for the second half and prevent him from getting hurt in this "exhibition," because Carlos has a way of doing stupid things that could get him hurt... like the fungo bat to the elbow last year.

Amen to that one... not that I know who he is but I'd assume one of those teams getting another pitcher would be bad for us down the stretch.

Well now we can start the speculation as to the 40 and 25 man shakeup. -
NO HE HASN'T!!! If this is true, we have to see Izturis EVERYDAY at Short! Neither Fontenot nor DeRosa can play SS in the Major Leagues, well neither can Izturis apparently. This is would be a god awful resolution to the problem that we have. Why does Hendry have to torment us??? This will be the last straw, I will no longer defend Hendry in anyway, shape, or form if this is what he does. Dare I compare the passion for Theriot with some of the Cubs fanbase to the popularity of Eckstein to some Cardinal fans? Dare I guess that you play too many video games and just plug and play different infielders all across the diamond and it magically work?
