  1. CUBS' remaining schedule (12).... Gm# Date Opponent Score Starter Opp Starter 151 Mon 09/17 Cincinnati N - Hill Arroyo 152 Tue 09/18 Cincinnati N - Zambrano Harang 153 Wed 09/19 Cincinnati N - Lilly Shearn 154 Fri 09/21 Pittsburgh - Marquis Maholm 155 Sat 09/22 Pittsburgh - Hill Van Benschoten 156 Sun 09/23 Pittsburgh - Zambrano Gorzelanny 157 Tue 09/25 @ Florida N - Lilly Willis 158 Wed 09/26 @ Florida N - Marquis Mitre 159 Thu 09/27 @ Florida - TBD Olsen 160 Fri 09/28 @ Cincinnati N - Zambrano Arroyo 161 Sat 09/29 @ Cincinnati N - Hill Harang 162 Sun 09/30 @ Cincinnati - Lilly Shern Your projected starters for the Cubs are wrong, I believe. With the days off on the 20th and 24th, my understanding is that they're going as I've corrected it above. They haven't named a starter for the 27th, but it's probably going to be Trachsel or Marshall. Could the oppositions' starters be altered due to off days as well?
  2. How about our hit spray chart. Only 2 balls pulled v. 5 going the opposite way. Pretty impressive for the ol' Cubbies.
  3. He's starting one of the games tomorrow.
  4. On a side note, that was the play of the season, should we be able to make it in. As soon as Len said that the 3-6-1 double play was the other night, I wanted to write him and let him know it was the Ramirez walkoff. I think someone still has it as their sig.
  5. That is a ridiculous picture! I don't understand how the article writer thinks the picture is a vote in favor of a new stadium, I see it as the opposite. The Indianapolis Indians would get better crowds for a practice game... and they are the pirates AAA team... kinda like the level of Peoria. Too bad it'd never work there. Hopefully a deserving city can get this team.
  6. Of course my son's due date is during the stretch run/playoffs of a year that the Cubs are contending. I'd so be in StL this weekend and Cincy that last weekend. I'm so not letting him live it down.
  7. What a ridiculous title for a thread. I was hoping it had something to do with a crystal ball and the Cubs winning the World Series in my lifetime.
  8. You know he's a main reason we're still playing right?
  9. That worked well against LA last week. I'm sorry, there's a better chance of 1 out of 2 guys getting a base hit than 1 out of 3 guys getting an extra base hit, especially when those guys are mostly people that shouldn't have anything to do with a division winning team. But there's not much of a chance of Pie getting doubled off.
  10. Holy cow does Berkman own Marquis. And in no small number of PAs, too. That's ridiculous. I suggest walking him. I suggest fastball to the ribs I couldn't agree more... didn't they hit Aramis multiple times last series?
  11. C'mon Cubbies, give me an excuse to play one of Jimmy Buffett's good friends later on tonight loud enough to wake up this preggo girl that lives with me and have her actually not be mad.
  12. I agree. It should have Pie time about a week ago. We need a spark... let's see if he is it.
  13. Hopefully Kendall will stand up and demand 4 straight balls every time Bay comes to the plate with fewer than three men on base. Because Macho Z always has to prove how tough he is and how he can get out Bay and fails miserably and bad things happen.
  14. And do it 14 - 15 more times the rest of the season at that!
  15. You lost credibility with me when singling out a player, in DeRosa, who has very good numbers in pitches seen per plate appearance and fail to mention the person most likely to swing at whatever a pitcher may roll up to the plate, in Soriano.
  16. Man I wanted another run or two there so we could give one high and tight at some point the next two innings. They deserve some payback.
  17. And do it 14-15 times the rest of the regular season!
  18. And do it 15 - 16 more times the rest of the season at that!
  19. wasn't it a line drive over the first baseman while stepping into the box? Nope. HR. There was a thread on it last year or so... perhaps Jon has the video? I already checked on youtube.
  20. Glenallen Hill. I mean seriously, he hit a ball on top of a building. He hit a homerun while in the process of stepping into the batter's box.
  21. You hate this team don't you Derwood?
