  1. Yeah I did not see this coming down to the last minutes.
  2. He was on a full sprint and *had to slide for the ball. It was in his glove, popped out when the glove hit the ground.
  3. If we would have just waited longer AND thrown in picks/prospects...
  4. Saw on twitter that Sharma and Brett replied to a guy who asked:
  5. NES then Genesis over Super Nintendo. Not sure how I'm supposed to vote.
  6. We reportedly sent cash to the Dodgers also but I haven't seen any specifics.
  7. Javy's second HR last night was incredible. Definitely one of the longest home runs I've ever seen. Hard to compare to MLB parks and no one could know where it landed but it cleared those signs and left the park by a ton.
  8. Headed to Des Moines tonight. Expecting Soler to only play 1 game but hopefully Baez and Bryant play both.
  9. Iowa has a solid team combined with a super weak Big Ten schedule.
  10. I highly recommend watching "The Battered Bastards of Baseball" on Netflix. Crazy story I had never heard before. Here's the trailer:
  11. Johnny Damon is a big, dumb idiot. Shocker. http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/86025432/johnny-damon-baseball-red-sox-yankees-idiot-in-exile#!blwgfc
  12. Vitters played like a depressed emo kid when I saw him in Des Moines a couple weeks ago.
  13. Cause I'm afraid Len might try to kill himself if he has to spend more time with this guy. That clown belongs as a wacky weatherman or morning zoo dj for 40-60 year olds. His Harry impression was [expletive] awful. And he thinks it kills.
  14. His signature had his real name and that he was a Catholic priest. A google search of his name brings up his obit from various papers: http://www.reinbeckcourier.com/page/content.detail/id/501235/Father-Neal.. It does have specific mention of him being and avid fan of the Cubs and Hawkeyes. Really?

  16. Poor fella died a year later, only 52.
  17. I don't like being reminded of how likely it is that a few of these guys bust.
  18. So I had planned out heading to Des Moines a couple weeks ago for the doubleheader and possibly Sunday's game as well. Completely unaware/forgetting that the Future's Game was Sunday and Bryant and Baez wouldn't be playing and then the Alcantara thing happened. I did get to see Manny ground out a few times though, so that was cool I guess. Straily was terrible also.
  19. Going to both games in Des Moines today. Was not aware they would be 7 inning games.
  20. Muskat says Rizzo won the vote!
  21. In the lineup at 2nd base tonight, batting 2nd.
