Hoyer on with Levine: -Nice things about Lester and his background but the story is only worth so much. Really comes down to how -Idea that dominos have to fall is wrong. They've spent a long time looking at free agents and trade pieces. Could take a long time. Still early in the process. -Need to add pitching, need to add OBP. -Versatility they have is exciting. Have the perfect manager to exploit that and move guys around the diamond. Something he likes to do. Getting everyone in the mindset that they might move around the order and field. Can be a huge advantage to get through injuries, etc. -Maddon has made some phone calls during FA process like any manager would. His hire hasn't really changed the plan. With versatility it makes them more comfortable now because he's a guy who likes to do that. -Things seem to happen quicker at winter meetings. Important not to get caught up in craziness, talk about not changing their process based on 4 days there.
