  1. nice work, boys. huge road victory.
  2. I'm just in in for tonight and I picked up the feed also when LD was lining up his freekick. It was a thing of beauty. Thanks for the link, Wolf.
  3. Didn't see this posted yet, but the Bears' game at the Bengals on Oct. 25th was moved from noon to 3:15.
  4. Agreed Seconded. Housh v. Jax Cotchery @ Mia Cotchery Even if Hasselbeck is back he'll still be walking wounded. I'm thinking Edwards will draw some coverage away from Cotchery helping him even more. Thanks guys, I was leaning towards Cotchery but Yahoo! has Housh projected to get about 2 pts more this week. I guess I should have thrown Ochocino into the discussion as well. He's traveling to Baltimore this weekend.
  5. Agreed Seconded. Housh v. Jax Cotchery @ Mia
  6. I'm a little disappointed with the slate of games this week. There's only a handful of games that are worth watching and even the primetime games are meh.
  7. Watching the game made me realize how glad I am Chip Caray is no longer the play-by-play man for the Cubs. He actually grew on me a bit during the '03 and '04 seasons, but tonight's game made me unsure what the hell I was thinking. I love Len.
  8. I've seen his play in high school and he is an absolute monster.
  9. Part of the Bears' inept blitzing is their tendency to lineup the linebackers right at the line of scrimmage when they blitz (and other times to represent a blitz). Linebackers, in general, have one big advantage over offensive linemen and its their speed. This speed advantage is nullified by their lack of gaining of a full head of speed they could get by blitzing from their normal 3-5 yard linebacker depth. They also seem to only have straight ahead blitz packages, I'd prefer to see blitz packages on obvious passing downs to have linebackers scraping off the defensive tackles to cause penetration to the QB.
  10. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4536066 Gonzalez's job looks to be safe for 2010. I'm guessing he won't last the year or won't be back for 2011, which gives the Cubs the opportunity to hire him for their managerial position after old man Lou is put out to pasture.
  11. How many [expletive] times did Thom Brennaman harp on how few yards per carry Matt Forte had outside of his two big runs? I can't stand that guy and yesterday he was even more insufferable than usual. I actually enjoyed Billick's analysis, at least as far as NFL announcers go.
  12. Jon Heyman is reporting on si.com that Gonzalez is in trouble because Marlins owner Jeffery Loria is disappointed that the team did not make the posteason. It looks like Piniella is going to be back in 2010 but I'd be very happy if Gonzalez replaced him this offseason.
  13. So giving him half of a season was an adequate trial running at the big league level after having years of success in the minor league system?
  14. Mackenzie Phillips doesn't know what's funny about this post.
  15. This Monday Night game would be much more interesting if it was in Green Bay instead of the Twin Cities.
  16. I can't believe you have never been to a game. Are you tailgating to get the full day experience? Regardless, have a great time.
  17. lol. The World Cup isn't bigger than the Olympics. I'd love to have the World Cup here but the Olympics would've been much bigger. Its not exactly a good comparison because the Olympics are centered in one city but the World Cup is in an entire country with the final being held in one of the biggest cities.
  18. Would you care to rephrase? ;) Ha, no I'm sticking to my story.
  19. I can see both the pros and cons of having the Olympics in Chicago and I really did not have a rooting interest. But I am really shocked Chicago was the first country eliminated from the voting.
  20. Scott "Stevie" Eyre in an injury plagued season in Philadelphia: 28.0 innings pitched 1.61 era 1.25 whip 3 hrs 20 k's 14 bb
  21. nice, jets v. saints in chicago area.
  22. Frank Gore is one of my two big name running back, since he looks like he's going to be out at least this week I have a decision to make. Glen Coffee v. St. Louis Willie Parker v. San Diego Ahmad Bradshaw at Kansas City
