  2. Comcast Sportsnet is having full coverage of the Ricketts press conference at 11 am on Friday and they have a show produced about the Ricketts family to air afterwards
  3. I'm probably jinxing it but this game is cruising along and doesn't look like it is headed for a typical 3.5-4 hour postseason game.
  4. For some reason I find it funnier that Sanchez took the time to get some mustard and put it on the hotdog before he ate it.
  5. I thought Bruce eventually started to travel with the team. I could be mistaken, but I thought I saw his name attached to road stories. Then again, I guess he didn't have to travel to write some things up for the Daily Herald.
  6. The Tampa-2 scheme is built on the belief that the pass rush must be created by the four defensive linemen. The Bears' linemen clearly cannot generate enough pressure to run the scheme effectively. The linebacker blitzes are used to make-up for the lack of pressure, which in turn, puts pressure on the defensive backs to make plays which they normally would have additional defenders (LBs) to help them make. The defensive line is a weakness on this team and its poor performance makes it difficult for everyone else to do their jobs effectively.
  7. I think he makes a huge difference on pass defense. Roach got exposed yesterday in his lack coverage of the deep middle in the Tampa-2.
  8. /end of thread
  9. Great move, I'm glad they got it done.
  10. Barca lost at home to a team from Russia? This is like bizarro world. I'm not shocked by the Liverpool result, they are simply not very good this year.
  11. I think Pisa can still play with a bum knee. He could just lean to one side and he'll be fine.
  12. ask and you shall receive.
  13. CBS can shift to another game anytime now.
  14. Spike Lee sighting on the USC sidelines!
  15. Pure speculation on my part, but I wonder if this trade shines any light on what the Bears front office and coaching staff see in Mark Anderson. A lot of people were hoping Marinelli would be able to make him a playmaker, but he's only been occasionally good this year but often disappears for huge stretches of games.
  16. Agreed. Regardless of Orton's success in Denver. I think the Cutler trade was validated by now, if it had not been already.
  17. Regardless, Ogunleye is definitely out of Chicago after this season.
  18. Very interesting move. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I don't like giving up more draft picks in a draft that we don't have a 1st round pick in. But if anything has been clear about Angelo's drafting habits, its that he's much more comfortable with a bunch of "Day 2" picks and not as strong with his early round picks. If nothing else, I think this move shows the Bears intention of winning this year. Going into this season, I was looking forward to at least 3 years with Cutler and didn't have huge hopes for a hugely successful year in '09. But Angelo is making this year a priority moving forward.
  19. That made the hair on my neck stand up. For some reason, it always gets me when you hear home announcers go apeshit over a huge game/match.
  20. 102. I'm pretty disappointed. Some of the recent names I forgot...Murton, Cedeno, and Burnitz.
  21. And come on Irish!
  22. Jesus, that car was demolished. I hope he's ok.
  23. Agreed Seconded. Housh v. Jax Cotchery @ Mia Cotchery Even if Hasselbeck is back he'll still be walking wounded. I'm thinking Edwards will draw some coverage away from Cotchery helping him even more. Looks like Cotchery is probably out? Probably have to go Housh now unless you want to risk Cotchery's status. I couldn't gamble and wait to hear on Cotchery,so I went with Housh and he put up huge points for me.
  24. On ESPN.com's front page, there's an insider protected article titled "A Chance of T.O. to Bears". Any insiders wanna give a summary of it?
