At the beginning of the OC search, I did not want Martz for the Bears. But as the coaching search hasn't produce many strong leads, it looks like Martz might be the best of what's available.

Ravens QB Coach Hue Jackson chose to be the Raiders OC over working as the OC with the Bears. That's what this coordinator search has come down to.

Yeah...the deliberate pace is really hurting them. I think they'll end up falling back to Martz in the long run. He's been there all along, but I would have to think that at some point, he will become offended and no longer make himself available. There's nothing wrong with doing your due diligence, but you can't make the obvious candidate sit around and look silly for a month.

It reminded me of the EPL Fanzone broadcasts of English soccer matches. They give fans microphones and they scream into them for 90 minutes. Good times.

Congrats to OMC. That was a very exciting game to watch and it was made even better by a #4 pick thrown across his body as he was on the run. A fitting way to end a career. I took way too much joy out of Favre losing but I don't care, I hate that bastard (in a sports fan way, of course). If Brees plays as crappy as he did today, the Saints stand no chance to win against the Colts. I'm just hoping for a good game.

I'm not going to be picky. I just want some good games out of the conference championships and the Super Bowl. I love the NFL playoffs but they haven't been very entertaining for a neutral fan this year. I have higher hopes for Sunday though.

Anybody else remember when NSBB would go nuts over news/reports from the Cubs Convention? I can remember reading huge re-caps people would write about their experiences over the weekend. Now, it seems, the thing has become completely irrelevant and we, as Cub fans, are a bit more bitter, cynical, or apathetic than '03/'04/'05.
