  1. I have had the Broncos, but if anybody is a fan, I'll switch to another team.
  2. Agreed. I'm hoping for some great matchups, at least somewhat closer games than some from this past weekend. I can't believe I'm actually rooting for the Cowboys.
  3. I want nothing to do with Mike Martz as the O-Coordinator. ESPN has Jedd Fisch and Bill Musgrave as other candidates for the opening.
  4. does anybody want to play defense in the game?
  5. Three people died (the driver, an assistant-coach and a press officer). Several players are slightly injured, and apparently Abdebayor (unhurt) is already on his way back to Manchester (at least, that's what a City official has said) Togo are contemplating pulling out completely. This report says they have. http://sport.stv.tv/world-sport/149216-togo-withdraw-from-african-cup-of-nations/ http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jan/09/togo-withdraw-africa-cup-of-nations-attack A player, Kodjovi Obilale, now has reportedly died. What a mess. Ghana and Ivory Coast are looking at dropping too.
  6. The NFL fined the Lions $200,000 for not following the Rooney rule a few years ago. A bigger fine was threatened if a team did it again.
  7. Did anything ever come about from the Roberto Alomar being homosexual having HIV or AIDS story that popped up a bit ago?
  8. The Lovie Smith deathwatch will be in high gear as soon as training camp gets started.
  9. what a beauty. If there's a chance Clint plays at this level during the World Cup, I think the US has a great chance to do some damage.
  10. a lot of offensive coaches got canned. Turner, Hamilton, the o-line coach, tight end coach.
  11. Based on today's results, the Bears will travel to Carolina next season.
  12. Craig James is coming across like a major d-bag in this whole ordeal.
  13. He has ADHD.
  14. AT&T just dropped him. http://money.cnn.com/2009/12/31/news/companies/tiger_woods_att/index.htm Yeah I saw that this morning. I didn't even know Tiger was involved with AT&T. I didn't either but I saw on tv this morning that AT&T is the main sponsor for one of his golf tournaments.
  15. I find it interesting to hear that Urlacher and Hillenmeyer are the only Bears to stand up to Olin. Urlacher makes sense, but I don't see Hillenmeyer having the sac to do it.
  16. Bobby Bowden for coach?
  17. The Mike Heimerdinger to replace Lovie Smith bandwagon has picked up some speed in the Chicago media over the past week or so. If the Bears do replace Lovie, and are leery about throwing huge money at a big name replacement, I think Meimerdinger might be the guy.
  18. I'm expecting this Redskins performance to be similar to the Bears' performance next week vs. the Vikings.
  19. Gaines Adams, come on down!
  20. This could get real interesting. I believe NFL rules require them to be in Baltimore 24 hours before kickoff. Based on the fact that the NFL has given the go-ahead to move the game time, I'm sure they won't hold the Bears to that rule.
  21. The Bears still haven't flown out of Chicago and one rumor has them leaving Sunday morning. yikes.
  22. I've noticed this as well. Those cities are large population centers and have strong traditions. It gets tiresome, but at least the teams are competitive this year.
  23. What does it mean to call someone a meatball anyway? Meatballs are the lowest common denominator Chicago sports fan. They want the Bears' head coach to show fire and passion, the Bears to win in bear weather, boo Cubs players unnecessarily, like small ball, etc.
  24. The meatball cub fans will love this move simply because Bradley is out of town. Silva is a terrible return for Milton.
