What's crazy is they are going to have to rebuild the squad right after setting the record for Goals for in the Premiership. They had a great season, now they need to get young fast. Very unusual situation. I'm curious to see how much money they spend this summer. I'm going to miss Joe Cole and his short shorts.

Yeah, it was a pretty pathetic display by Drogba, but his drama in not unexpected. This was a strange season for Chelsea and I am very excited they won the league. But I didn't expect them to rack up the offensive totals that they did. I guess the days off boring Chelsea are over (at least temporarily).

Are you kidding me? Montreal moving to MLS is an excellent thing, as is Portland coming in. I'm real excited about Portland, they could easily have the best fan base of any city. MLS needs those local rivalries. In 4 years you are going to have Philly/DC/RBNY/NER and TOR/CBUS/MTL and Portland/SSFC/Vancouver. That's how you generate intense interest. MLS is building the right way, as opposed to just dumping teams in random spots like Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix and St Louis. I find it interesting that the MLS is taking the opposite approach that the NHL did. There was a mass exodus out of Canada and into the sunbelt for hockey but the MLS is tapping into Canada and the northwest. It looks like a genius decision so far.

I really fear that the majority of Cub fans have no idea of realistic expectations of Castro's performance this year. For his sake, I hope he doesn't struggle over this first few weeks. -

ESPN's E:60 did a profile piece on Clint Dempsey the other night. I'm sure they'll be replaying it. I thought it was pretty well done, it discussed Clint's sister dying when he was younger and the impact of that on his career.
