Let’s see how these hungover cubs look having to fly to Boston and play a double header with 27 innings of baseball packed into a 27 hour window. Because for some reason, Manfred or whoever cares more about the Phillies and Padres horsefeathers over the Cubs than logistics. Will the storm effect their ability to travel too?

Including playing in Tampa? MLB should intervene. Who gives a horsefeathers about them and why should they have any say over it?

Not only that but they’re moving the second game up to 4:35. There’s a perfectly viable option in Tampa with no inclement weather and no need to change start times on the fly. Players will be on call like ER doctors. I’m wondering how a hungover cubs team will look having to play a double header packed into a 7 hour window for a game that ended 20 hours before first pitch.

The biggest problem is that the wind blowing in neutralizes the Cubs power advantage.

Another example of just how weird of a season this has been. The Cubs are 11-10 against teams 20+ games under 500, 21-24 against the awful American League, despite a +52 run differential 22-9 against NL teams 10+ games over 500 who aren’t the piss ant Brewers in the regular season. Also a combined 22-5 vs the Reds, Mets and Phillies, in contrast to 9-16 in 2025.

Right. The 2 seeded Braves played the 6 seeded Phillies in 2022. The rule wasn’t ever relevant to the Cubs until this year so I forgot how seeding worked.

I think we’re over rating the Eagles a bit. They beat the terrible titans and Commanders by a combined 6 points and they’re not the same dynamic offense without AJ Brown. I think it’ll be a close game, especially if Goddart doesn’t play and Barkley is isn’t 100%. -
A force out that probably wouldn’t have been necessary if Pedro didn’t misplay a ground ball, and ot not leaving 10 runners on base while going 1-9 over the last 2 games. Par for the course that Bregmans absence has literally been the difference between 2 wins.
