    To be fair, he has 3 homers and a 70 wRC+ away from Yankee stadium where he benefits from the dimensions. I don’t think we’d get the same bang for buck that the Yankees do.

    A 1432 OPS, 2.8 fWAR and 10 homers, 6 stolen bases over his last 19 and the Cubs are 9-10. At this rate though I’d be disappointed if his wRC+ is under 130 at seasons end. I would’ve been ecstatic if he finished with a 120 before the season started.

    People expect top 10 stats in all triple crown categories like Happ’s a top 10 highest paid player in baseball for some strange reason.

    The advanced stats say he’s had awful bated ball luck and his batted ball profile is the exact same as last season. I’m leaning coincidence.

    Today is the day that Nico’s neck is fully healed after rounding the bases on his leadoff double versus the D Backs and his awful luck goes in reverse.

    He hit a leadoff double versus Arizona the following game and tweaked his neck while rounding first base in the first inning and sat out the next 2 games. Getting beaned could’ve been neck related more than head related if it’s at all the reason.

    They would’ve walked to the World Series last year if not for LA having more stars and destroying the competitive balance. Now that their high $ vets are entering the backend of their deals, they’ll be crippled long term. Same with the Padres. Love somewhere in between or hate Jed, the Cubs aren’t crippled financially long term. I think peanut is too focused on the pitching staffs baseline ERA and neglecting just how much they’re bailed out by the cubs defense, but I can’t speak for him.

    Cubs currently have the 5th highest run differential in baseball at +23. They currently trail the fourth ranked Braves by 78 runs.

    PCA had 29 total walks last year and he’s currently at 27 with 85 games left after today.

    Nico’s xBA is 290. He’d have a 330 batting average if he played for the Brewers instead of 223.

    I’d bet on Raymond being the primary week 1 WR3 and by mid season it’s possible that Thomas or even Walker jump him on the depth chart. The weak competition should increase his target share and also Johnson’s love of speed. I don’t know how raw he truly is though.
