  1. Tucker’s OPS will be in the 820’s by the end of the day.
  2. They’ll have to do something that haven’t done in their last 17 losses if they want to win today.
  3. It might not matter anyways if the Mets keep on losing.
  4. The rational thing to do is root for Brewers instead of the Reds because it helps the Cubs playoff picture, but I choose not to. horsefeathers Milwaukee.
  5. No demons have been exorcised since 2016. We had the 2018 power outage, 2019 9 game losing streak, 2020 and 23, whatever you want to make of that… No cure. We aren’t the Redsox. It’s not like we have the Bears or any other team to lift our spirits exactly either.
  6. I’m being sarcastic. But I’ve seen this movie so many times. Until Tucker gets out of his funk this is a carbon copy of the 2023 team with a struggling rookie PCA on top of it. As a Cubs fan, everything will be OK isn’t a frame a mind I’ll ever have.
  7. I know they’re struggling but that’s a bit of a stretch, Come on. You really think they’ll win 15 more games?
  8. In 2016 we had confidence this team would go all the way. in 2007 we had hope, not confident but hey, the cardinals did it last year with 83 wins. Right now the tone is trending closer to the 2007 team. That’s way more than 2%.
  9. They are. It’s the difference between confidence and hope.
  10. The bar went from “having as a good of a chance as anyone” to “just make the playoffs and anything can happen”.
  11. Lol I knew they’d be closer in the standings to the Reds than the Brewers 2 weeks ago. This team never fails to fail me. Throw those playoff odds in the garbage, they don’t apply to the Cubs.
  12. He was never this $600 million superstar he was advertised as. But he’s offensive right now.
  13. Blue jays $500 million man has the go ahead 2 run home run tonight and the go ahead run double on Monday, our alleged $500 million slugger has 2 XBHs all horsefeathers month.
  14. If Tuck keeps this up Tom might actually be able to afford him.
  15. What’s Cassie’s ceiling in your opinion? WAR wRC+ home runs etc.
  16. That’s the only way this makes sense. It’s uncharacteristic of the Cubs to bring up a top prospect just to see as much action as a bullpen catcher like Berti. Especially when he doesn’t offer the position flexibility or pinch running ability of Brujan or Berti.
