  1. I hope Glasnows injury isn’t too serious. I’ll need him to help knock these piss ants out of the playoffs again for my sanity.
  2. 1st and 2nd 0 outs: Bregman with the pop out, Happ looks at a called third strike and Suzuki strikes out on a slider off the plate away. Some things never change.
  3. Right. If that bridge is ever crossed in a dream world then it’d be weird having a statue built while players are allowed to wear #18, even if it’s only practice squad guys.
  4. If they didn’t officially retire Urlachers number then I wonder what happens with #18 if that bridge is ever crossed.
  5. He’s just a guy with a 781 OPS since 2022 who’s currently at 805, which will drop another 20 points or so by seasons end..
  6. They’re not even competitive in their losses. They’ve been outscored 84-36 in their last 11 of them.
  7. He’s looking at K%, not total strikeouts. Cubs lead the league in plate appearances so maybe that’s why.
  8. It definitely feels like it since they have the 12th highest K% with RISP.
  9. Brewers have this weird ability to actually aim their hits like they’re hitting irons.
  10. Why throw 3 fastballs in a row in the exact same location.l? Now the horsefeathers face brewers are a half game out with our ace on the mound against Spunk who’s allowed 8 homers in 36 inning.
  11. Score horsefeathers runs now against this horsefeathers pitcher. Maybe try hitting it over the fence instead of trying to walk your way around the bases.
  12. The starting pitchers struggle to last 5 innings so we have an already injured bullpen that’s also taxed. We miss Keller and Pomeranz badly in addition to 3 weeks of no Theilbar. This has been a long time coming. Tread water as long as possible until we get some reinforcements.
  13. The entire hitting approach seems more passive. The walk rate is up by 3% from a year ago for what it’s worth.
  14. Cubs wRC+ with runners in scoring position is down from 117 in 2025 to 99 this season so far and down from 111 from 23-25.
