I barely even heard a “whomp” because the noise was so deafening. The crowd was louder than the loud speakers. It reminded me of Tino Martinez’s game 4 2 run homer vs Kim to tie the game in the 9th with the Yankee stadium crowd noise overpowering the loud speakers.

Uribe will have pitched 1 inning over the last 14 days. I hope the bats have enough familiarity with the brewers pen by now to score enough runs early because 2 inning of Uribe trailing in the later innings is bad news. Busch continues to money. Great bounce back from Boyd too.

3/$120 even with deferrals and the ability to walk if you have a great year is better than 4/$120 with a player opt when he’s a year older. I agree with you that the ball park factor might have played a role in his decision. Why didn’t the cubs want to match it is the question I have.

That’s true. And matching Bostons offer would put them at risk of going over the LT either in 2025 or 26 depending on deferrals, something Tom explicitly wants to avoid. I should say he vetoed paying the LT.
