  1. Can’t even give Kmet a YAC opportunity on a short pass with no defenders anywhere near him.
  2. Caleb’s second touchdown today.
  3. Monangai will eat. I predict 17 rushes 64 yards 1 td and 2 receptions for 17 yards. Feed him.
  4. Trading for Claypool is his masterpiece. By design he knew he’d have top 35 pick by blowing up the roster and if Claypool is worth a damn then you win a meaningless game and you’re stuck with the 3rd pick and no haul from the Panthers. Good thing after years of pissing away picks on Tyler Scott Velus Jones and 1 year rental Keenan Allen he said screw it and used 2 top 10 picks and pick 39 on pass catchers in the last 2 drafts. It’s also noteworthy his QB2 from the 24 draft was McCarthy.
  5. It’s risky and even reckless to to invest 2 top 10 picks and pick 39 on pass catchers who are only as effective as the guy throwing the football, especially with an already deep unit. There’s needs everywhere, especially on the defensive line.
  6. Your gut isn’t lying.
  7. This team isn’t better than a fully healthy Ravens team quarterbacked by Huntley, especially with the secondary injuries and a quarterback who’s proving his detractors right week after week.
  8. Just need to draft one more pass catcher next April and preferably in the first round and we’re complete.
  9. Vegas really wants those 7 points covered after messing up the point spread expecting Lamar to play.
  10. Where’s the push off? Face mask?
  11. I refuse to believe DJ hasn’t been open for this long. Can only read one side of the field.
  12. He’s been extremely consistent. 6/7 of his games have been below average..
  13. I refuse to believe no one’s open past the sticks on every drop back. Have they completed a pass over 10 yards not off play action?
  14. That’s why you keep Moody on the roster. This team doesn’t have the margin for error to mess around.
  15. They’re down to Mcloud and Wright and you can’t blitz with the threat of Henry. This game is on Caleb’s shoulders, especially if the defense can’t force 4 turnoversz. Should’ve called a time out on third down too.
  16. Cornerback injuries are making Huntley look like a competent quarterback.
  17. Ben doesn’t trust Caleb on fourth downs. He’d go for it on the 5 10/10 times in Detroit.
  18. 2 drives 125 yards 6 points. FFS.
  19. Ravens are selling out for the run so Caleb will to step up.
  20. Tanner Scott could bounce back next year and be that lockdown closer they paid him to be for all we know, much like Kimbrel for the Cubs in 2020-21. Not sure how this volatility will effect Keller or Palencia next season but at least they haven’t had the injury setbacks that derailed Alzaloy and Hodge.
  21. I think that’s a safe bet. Bullpen arms are so fickle from year and Jed builds his pen accordingly for better or worse. If Ben Brown can command his fastball he’ll become a dependable high leverage arm for all we know. Chapman would’ve been a safe option but he’s still under contract with the Redsox I just learned. I’m curious what impact the year to year volatility of pen arms will have on Keller and Palencia.
  22. Not at the top of peoples minds but not sure what the plans are for the bullpen but they played a key role in their playoff push and can’t be taken for granted. If it’s in the budget a lockdown pen arm without any red flags like Presley or Neris would be nice depending on what the strategy. Auditioning a bunch of cheap vets and waiver wire pickups in the early months to find out what sticks, Which worked to perfection as the season progressed. Not as much luck in 24.
  23. That’s a great question though. Will they give Busch more plate appearances vs lefties or stick with the current formula and in a Perfect world add lefty masher Goldschmidt to platoon? Turner only had 3 total at bats in the playoffs. I realize the strategy is different but he had a quietly great season and I’m curious what the future implications are.
  24. Nor will his rookie year define is career at the plate. It didn’t define Busch, Suzuki, Amaya or PCA. An above average bat with great defense at third base with years of team control is a huge asset especially on a team owned by TR. If he’s ever moved it should be to second base if Nico isn’t extended and they want to add more slug at third base. He trended exactly how you’d want raising his OPS from 556 to 839 after his first 230 PAs in the first half.
