    Judge had a 6.8 fWAR in a 64 game stretch in 2022, which is the best of this decade,

    His walk rate jumped from 4.5% to currently 11.9%, that’s less than his jump from a 59 wRC+ versus left handed pitchers in 2025 to a 163 currently. I don’t know where this ranks historically but he’s the Josh Allen of MLB players. The best part about him is how one day he’s Ichiro going 2/4 with 2 singles and 2 stolen bases and the next day he’s Aaron judge going 3/5 with 2 homers, a double and 4 RBIs. He’s also good at defense too.

    It’s an A. they’re 17 games above 500 despite having enough arms on the IL to fill out a pitching staff of a 26 man roster including key arms like Brown, Horton and Palencia. Factoring in Taillon and wicks making 18 combined starts, their resilience deserved to be rewarded.. Gausman cost nothing, Zeferjahn is now our second best reliever and with many years of control. I won’t knock Jed for discarding Rojas when the Angels showed no interest in him. I’d rather have Clay Holmes for at least couple of months than holding onto him, because maybe there’s a better trade package in the offseason, leaving us all wondering what could’ve been. That’s been the biggest knock on Jed and he should be praised for going out of what some people perceive as his comfort zone.

    That’s what I was thinking. He attacks hitters differently in certain spots and nibbles at the corners with higher selection of pitches more than in low leverage spots where he throws it over the plate more. His sinker definitely plays into the strength of the middle infield defense. You’d expect it show up in the data though. He’s worth studying in depth.
