Why throw 3 fastballs in a row in the exact same location.l? Now the horsefeathers face brewers are a half game out with our ace on the mound against Spunk who’s allowed 8 homers in 36 inning.

The starting pitchers struggle to last 5 innings so we have an already injured bullpen that’s also taxed. We miss Keller and Pomeranz badly in addition to 3 weeks of no Theilbar. This has been a long time coming. Tread water as long as possible until we get some reinforcements.

The entire hitting approach seems more passive. The walk rate is up by 3% from a year ago for what it’s worth.

Cubs wRC+ with runners in scoring position is down from 117 in 2025 to 99 this season so far and down from 111 from 23-25.

Only Imanaga consistently does that. It shouldn’t be this difficult for our starters to go past 5 innings.

Vargas isn’t even the most annoying Cub killer on the Sox. It’s actually Grichuk, but Vargas will pass him soon.

Kelly’s double was hit too hard, -1 runs, Murakamis grounder wasn’t hit hard enough to turn a double play, +2 runs.

I wish I lived out of state so the sting of losing to the Sox and interacting with these fucks wouldn’t be an issue.

Losing 3 series isn’t ideal with the way the standing are shaking out. Going a game without allowing homers to Montgomery and Vargas will help.

This team is getting their asses kicked way too often in losses because the pitching staff just can’t reliably keep the game close in games where the cubs score under 5 runs.

Trotting out Taillon and Rea with the weather heating up is costly too.
