  1. Bears haven’t won by 30 since 2018 vs the bills.
  2. Sanders throws beach balls. His arm strength isn’t NFL caliber.
  3. They just can’t put teams away.
  4. They’re making this way harder than it should be. I’m sick of the early down runs too.
  5. Only being up by 14 sucks. Caleb’s been on the money on every throw.
  6. Bad play calling there. No need to get cute with a Kmet hand off.
  7. Bears have had a great draft class so far.
  8. 75 of those 80 yards came from rookies.
  9. 70% on target rate should Ben’s goal for Caleb in 2026. Bears are currently ranked 31st 66.9%.
  10. I’m sick and tired of the slop from the passing game.
  11. I’m not at all blaming DJ. There’s a disconnect between Caleb and DJ and no matter how much seperation DJ gets there hasn’t been a return on the investment no matter who’s at fault. There shouldn’t be a need for any either drafting 2 pass catchers in top 10 plus Burden at 39. I didn’t have a problem with the thinking behind the extension.
  12. The middle paragraph is the only thing people care about in here. No one will make it that far after reading the first sentence either.
  13. DJ is a bad investment too. Whether he’s at all to blame for the lack of production they have Rome Loveland and burden on rookie deals. Can’t upgrade the defense with his $28 million cap hit next season. Too many mouths to feed for a qb who struggles with accuracy.
  14. I said horsefeathers jt after clicking the exit tab for the 80th time only for the pop up ads to reappear.
  15. Neither of them said that.
  16. They’re not. You composed 10 paragraphs in that comment alone without a single baseball thought. Thats a waste of everyone’s time. That’s 150 of your posts in a nutshell. In the off chance this isn’t a bit, my advice is stop littering the chat with 12 paragraph posts that have nothing to do with the thread title.
  17. That’s because Busch, PCA, Horton and Shaw contributing at the big league level means cutting payroll will still put them is that 83-90 win ballpark. Doesn’t matter if the payroll is $240 million or $40 million. No need for Marcus stroman, Hendricks, Tauchman or Bellinger which puts them right at the LT. It’s a redundant topic but too frustrating to ignore.
  18. Instead of playing it by year at the trade deadline where you’ll have to pay a premium with a haul of prospects, just sign someone in free agency. Jed didn’t like the asking price and the end result was Andrew Kittleridge and useless players.
  19. Ideally. In the case you have Mo and Cassie providing 6 combined wins with the other 3 positions players under team control. If they go on spending sprees similar to 2015-16 with the available $ then that’s a plan I can live with. I just wish I had more faith in it happening. I still think they need an elite top of the order bat like Tucker. The royals were the last champion without one.
  20. I’m not calling you out specifically. If their goal is this perennial jack of all trades master of none roster building approach then 2-3 fWAR from Cassie and Bellestaros is good enough to fill a need at those positions. They’ll just stay stuck in this perennial 86 win loop without championship ambitions. Is this their plan?
  21. I started out by saying Los Angeles on purpose as a joke. Yes, 9 digit figure contracts are why the dodgers are a dynasty. The rangers don’t win either without World Series MVP and $300 million free agent Corey Seager as recent examples. If the goal is sustained 80 win seasons then spending $35 million on 2 players for an equivalent war means less years and total $ for long term payroll flexibility. It doesn’t seem like winning a World Series is the primary goal above all else.
