  1. Don’t see the Cubs trading Wiggins for rentals. Brown is probably the best pitcher they would give up.
  2. I would be fine with any minor league pitcher except Wiggins if they got both Suarez and Kelly. None of the top 5 bats in the system either. So no to Cassie, Ballasteros, Rojas, Alcantara, or Long as well as Wiggins.
  3. Probably not Alcantara either. But for both those guys I agree with you.
  4. Little has been bad lately. And he isn’t even throwing as hard as before. And, tbh, he shocked even before this. No idea why he gets so much love here. He is the Cubs version of the back up quarterback.
  5. Bold prediction. Not sure I like the idea of Alcantara. Do the Cubs have to trade Cassie or Wiggins for him? If so, pass.
  6. I think if Brown gets them thru 5, even going well we might see Flexen for 2. Then Keller and if need be, Palencia.
  7. If Triantos got the Cubs Suarez I would be all in on that one. But he is probably as high as I would go.
  8. This is so not true. I do not agree that the Cubs won’t win the division without those upgrades. This is a huge overreaction to the Brewers playing well right now. I don’t expect the Brewers to go away. But I also think the Cubs can win the division without all the moves you are suggesting. They are a better team than the Brewers as they are now.
  9. Also, tbf, Cubs were one hit or one less baserunning mistake away from scoring 3 or 4 on Crochet. They didn’t do a bad job against him. 8 hits and a few walks. Just didn’t get the big hit. Stuff happens. Move on.
  10. This I agree with. I would have rather seen Brasier or Pomoranz, or just leave Thielbar in. He threw 3 pitches.
  11. They shouldn’t dfa him, but you are exaggerating his effectiveness. He has dodged a lot of bullets when he pitches. I have no idea why CC doesn’t use Brasier more. Pressley shouldn’t be dfa but he isn’t nails either
  12. Nice start by Cade. I really like this kid. He is going to be very good. Too many walks today, but still a great start.
  13. Well it is Jed. So of course he has to screw things up, right???? 😬
  14. True. I guess I just don’t agree with the notion that Jed will be shopping down a tier from the top “because that is what he always does”. He doesn’t always do that at the TDL.
  15. 278/333/410 196/274/339 Those are Turner’s numbers versus Busch when facing a left handed pitcher. So why is CC wrong to go with Turner here?
  16. I don’t really agree with that. He traded for Candelario, who was the top of the market bat when they did it. He was also aggressive last year getting Parades. The issue might be there are no top of the market guys available this deadline.
  17. I think you are going to be disappointed. I don’t think he gets 4 new players. Hoping for at least 2, would be happy if it was 3 and surprised if it was 4.
  18. I get it. Cubs rearranged the rotation to give Boyd extra rest at the all star break. And now, if he goes Tuesday he lines up for the first game in the Brewers series. So makes sense to let him go Tuesday with Brown tomorrow.
  19. Hopefully there is a delay after 3 or 4 innings and Crochett doesn’t come back out.
  20. 👍I have the weather channel app and I use Wrigley zip code. My says 15% chance. 🤷 So who knows…..
