    For the guys that know underlying numbers, is Adrian Houser a guy the Cubs should consider for the right price? He is a guy CC is familiar with. And he has had very good results so far.

    If they get 3 of these 5 it will be a good trade deadline.

    They are not saying the ball is hit in that exact location. If the ball is hit as hard as Swanson hit it with the same launch angle and hit to the exact spot he hit it, 100 balls hit like that would all be outs. Why are you being so hard headed about this? Bottom line is all a ballplayers can try to do is hit the ball hard and in the air. If he does that he did a good job, regardless of it it is caught. A ball hit that hard with that launch angle results I. An actual hit 57% of the time. That is making great contract. He can’t help it went right to someone.

    Looks like Pomoranz next inning. Why? I don’t really like this move. Rather it be Theilbar. Or even Brasier.

    Baseball is just stupid. A guy hits a ball over 100 mph for an out with guys in and fans suggest he choked. But then a guy hit a blooper at 58MPH that falls in and dans love him. Stupid game. I will take that blooper now.

    Exactly. So soon enough the tide has to turn. At best they are a mid to high 80’s win team that has played at 113 win pace for 1/4 of the year. They will tail off.

    Swanson hit a line drive over 100mph with 2 guys on. Is that him not coming through or not lucky after doing everything right?

    Ok, thanks. I didn’t see that. I did read that IF they sold they probably wouldn’t sell both Kelly and Gallen.

    I agree. But that doesn’t mean they will.

    Based on the second part of your comment, it appears you do know why Suarez isn’t commented on all the time. They need starting pitching much more. Suarez withdrew be great. But I think they will address pitching first.

    I agree that long term he could be very good better than right now. But they can use him now, too.

    Why not Bradley now? Can’t be the only pitcher they get, but he would be a good pick up. I feel Cubs and Rays are familiar trade partners, so maybe he is an option.

    Because you are talking about guys that don’t really matter. The main own has been good.

    And who have those guys been? Wicks, Keller? Are you counting Flexen when he started. Focus on the guys that matter. They have been good. As I said, of the guys in the circle of trust, Keller is the only one really struggling.

    I think he beat the throw too. It should have been an easy DP, but the throw to second sucked and that hurt thr timing of the play.

    I have a hard time with the statement “the bullpen has been terrible lately”. The main pen arms, aside from Keller, have been really good. Hodge was clearly not healthy when he pitched. And I am not sure he is in the circle of trust anyway. Brasier, Pressley, Theilbar, Pomoranz, Palencia and Flexen have all still been very good coming in from the pen. I am worried about Keller, but that is about it.

    Boyd is done for the day. I don’t like the decision, but he is done after 8.

    That would be my target as well. If not him, if/when Twins decide to sell they should go after Ryan.

    He would be a good option. Braves need to realize they need to sell.

    I don’t like that the offense has stopped scoring once Frued came out. This is when we should be scoring more. Yankees are dangerous. Boyd has been amazing. But, come on, make it easy for him.

    Maybe, but ready can still be ugly when he first comes up.
