I would agree with that. It seems like the Cubs are saving their big pieces for a premier SP and my expectations are sky high now. I wouldn't be surprised if they get both Ryan and a guy like Kelly by tomorrow. Although, I can see Suarez going to Milwaukee.

the Phils scare me, probably more than any NL team. I think the Cubs can beat anyone else when they are clicking

I'd probably do it, as great as Wiggins is. Duran might just be the best closer in baseball and brings 2.5 years of control.

But aside from starting pitching, they do need a bench hitter and a reliever. I thought maybe they'd lock in one of those minor type of moves by today. I guess there is still time.

Milwaukee is 34-23 against +.500 teams. It's time to come to the painful realization that they are just a better team, at this juncture. A lot can change between now and October but this team does not look up to the task when they face stiffer competition
