  1. The Blue Jays have acted more like a big market team than us the last 5 years. They went hard after Ohtani, after Soto, and will certainly go after Tucker. Inexcusable
  2. People would rather have a guy that has a sick baseball savant page than a guy who has a career 3.3 ERA
  3. Oh yeah I've already accepted that will happen lol. They are perfectly content just getting into the playoffs and putting fans in the seats. They don't actually care about winning.
  4. I still want to see them get in. You just never know what can happen in October. This team is definitely better than that Marlins team that won it all
  5. We're seeing what happens when this great offense can't carry the team. They don't have enough talent elsewhere to make up for the offense not having a good day
  6. That would be a nightmare.. I still expect the Dodgers to win their division though
  7. On the bright side, the Cubs will likely play Milwaukee in the NLDS if they advance past the wild card, and that will basically be 5 home games. It'll be fun to watch Brewers fans crying if they lose that series
  8. PCA and Horton being developed into possible superstars is enough for me to think Counsell is a great manager. The talent is just not good enough, especially in the rotation and bullpen
  9. 2 weeks ago I wanted the Cubs to use Brasier more, now he's a doofus
  10. I really hope Tucker's recent play can be explained away by an injury because he does not look like a 500m player, or a 400m player
  11. This guy has an ERA north of 5 and the Cubs can't do anything
  12. anybody else tired of seeing the umpire kid. I get it, it's cool, cute, adorable, whatever and whatever. But why are they talking about it every half inning lol
  13. I didn't realize the Padres are only 2 games behind the Dodgers.. that would be so horsefeathered if the Cubs have to play the Dodgers in a potential wildcard. Talk about a tough matchup right out of the gate
  14. I think they want to get Palencia "right" (I believe he's had 2 or 3 outings in a row where he's given up a run). Unfortunately, looks like today isn't any better. Starting to get a tiny bit concerned about him
  15. Also, busy day so I couldn't tune in but: how horsefeathers impressive is Cade Horton. I'm really excited about his future. He could be the ace of this rotation in a year or two
  16. As lackluster as the Cubs have been lately, they are a Swanson missed step away from probably winning back to back series
  17. They will probably extend him, citing his "intangibles" and "defense" while letting guys like Tucker and Suzuki walk out the door
  18. Are the Brewers the best team ever or something? LOL I mean, my goodness, what's it going to take for that team to lose a couple of games in a row. Doesn't seem to matter who they play, they are 10 games over .500 against +.500 teams
