  1. I trust the numbers that say the Cubs are a top 2 offense in baseball, and the eye test says the same. However, they do need to start beating some of these elite pitchers. In the playoffs they will face a guy like this in almost every game. Yamamoto, Senga, Cease, Webb and plenty of others. It won't get any easier.
  2. The Pirates play hard, they swept the Phillies recently. I'd be satisfied with 3/4
  3. Very true, with guys throwing harder than ever now. BP is more important than ever
  4. I always hated that stat. No pitcher should be rewarded for giving up 3 ER in 6 IP. That's very average
  5. Now that Brown's already ruined the game, he can pitch the next 5 innings stress free (jk). But seriously if he does that, let's not pretend that he's a good SP His future is in the bullpen
  6. IMO, the Cubs could definitely use someone that can hit LHP. Seiya and Tucker are the only guys I trust to slug vs lefties
  7. When is the last time the Cubs put up a crooked number in the first inning. Been a while
  8. Hopefully Assad can come back after the all star break and they both go to the bullpen
  9. Who do you have in mind? Edit: oh, you mean 2 separate players. Not someone that can play both , ala Bellinger
  10. Can't think of many guys that can do that, let alone be available
  11. McGuire has been way better than Kelly since he's been here
