  1. Very satisfied with this team winning 2/3, taking all 3 would just be gravy. Huge test today against arguably a top 2 lefty in the sport. Even if the Cubs don't win, I'm just hoping Horton looks dominant. I'll take 6 IP and 2 ER!
  2. Fair point on the lineup. But I do think their rotation is amazing when healthy. Yamamoto, Ohtani, Glasnow, Snell, Sasaki.
  3. The Dodgers on some days just look old and slow. That rotation is still filthy but the lineup... doesn't really instill fear in me. Unfortunately, I can now see them joining the Suarez sweepstakes
  4. It's starting to feel like less of a need than two weeks ago but man, Suarez 2 HR today. They could bulldoze their way to the WS
  5. So when is Jed getting his extension. Thought it would happen over the break
  6. 2/3 or a sweep against a pretty good team. Haven’t trailed in this series yet. Pure dominance
  7. That would be awesome. I hope the Cubs can avoid the Dodgers and Phillies until the NLCS. As good as the Brewers have been, I'd rather face them in the NLDS.
  8. he looks more relaxed as the first guy off the bench, nice bomb!
  9. Shota's mannerisms are so funny. Hope he retires a Cub
  10. Busch should be the leadoff guy moving forward. Against lefties, Nico
  11. Calling it right now, the Mets will not make the playoffs and MLB will feel real dumb giving that team 4 all stars
  12. He looked a little better yesterday. Wonder if there is a trade on the horizon
  13. That's what happens when the other guy is like 2 or 3 for his last 30. Brujan got a knock the last time he started in NY. I get that some folks (not you, just generally speaking) think the resources are better spent elsewhere due to how good the offense already is and how average the starting pitching is right now - but there is no way I want that dude getting 30 plate appearances in a 7 game playoff series vs the Phillies or Dodgers. His time will come, but it isn't right now. Cubs have to address that position with some kind of a trade, whether it's Castro, Suarez or someone else.
  14. Well, at least the sox have to go to their bullpen early
  15. Caissie would look great in LF next year next to PCA and Tuck. But I think the temptation of getting another TORP will be too great for them to pass up
  16. That makes sense. And it also seems like many of these guys move around once they get to the big leagues. Like Jackson Merrill was a shortstop but now he's a really good CFer. Cam was a solid 3rd basemen but now he's trending towards being a long term right fielder. Maybe Ethan can play a different position down the line.
  17. I have to think that the Cubs had the draft they did because some of these top prospect OFers are going to be on the move. That's pretty exciting to me. They are clearly gearing up to make a big move and I can't wait to see what it is - hopefully Mackenzie Gore
