  1. I think they'll come back if they see Jax again. Never been overly impressed with him.
  2. Even if they get lucky and come back and win this game, this team has been exposed in some areas. They won't make it the NLCS as currently constructed. They need pitching and another hitter (IMO)
  3. Horton has to hunker down here and get them through 5 with no more runs allowed.
  4. I've seen a lot of Cubs fans talk about Edward Cabrera, yet Javy Assad has better numbers the last 3 seasons than him. Losing him + Steele + Shota for a long stretch was eventually going to catch up to this team. They might need 2 legitimate starters at the deadline
  5. I thought Cade turned a corner and it took all but 1 inning to realize... he's still a rookie
  6. Feels like our starters lose guys a lot on 2 strike counts. Can't get away with that against good teams..
  7. That’s a good analogy. At the end of the day if the Cubs want to keep Tucker, they’ll need cost controlled guys at other positions. And Shaw is definitely a good prospect. I understand why they are giving him all the opportunities.
  8. I phrased it badly - but I meant that they shouldn't not explore that move at the deadline if it becomes realistic, just because they have a top prospect at 3b who's steadily improving.
