  1. Totally fair. I dont watch a lot of games at home because I usually go out to watch them with friends and at our regular place they can never get AppleTV. It annoys the hell outta me. I guess thats personal bias though.
  2. I consider National tv fox and espn, not appletv, not everyone has access to that streaming service. Hell half the sports bars I go to cant even get AppleTV to show it. Streaming isnt national tv imo. Just comes down to your definition of it. I dont pay for any streaming services though.
  3. I totally agree with you that it should be nationally televised. I guess it comes down to you considering appletv as nationally televised. I dont necessarily subscribe to the idea that streaming is nation wide. Yeah everyone has access to it if they pay but not everyone has the money for Apple. My idea of nationally televised is Fox Saturday Night baseball or ESPN Sunday Night. Yeah you're paying for cable i guess but i find it to be more easily accessiable to the average fan. Agree with you about Apples broadcast though. It is really good
  4. Leave it to MLB to put a Friday night game with two of the best teams in baseball on Apple TV
  5. Good article. Couple thoughts I aint moving Shaw for anything short of Skenes. Moving Nico for a starter and bringing in McMahon seems like a pretty dumb move imo. Nico is a big part of this team and we have seen how important his contributions at the bottom of the order have been to the offense. Im very interested in Drew Rassmussen
  6. Damn. Thats insanely efficient.
  7. How has Cade looked tonight? I got off work and caught the last inning. See hes only around 65 pitches which I like but 3 runs? What happened there?
  8. Good. Lets try and develop as much defensive value as we can out of him
  9. Law recently highlighted Pierce as a Cubs target too and that he's been hearing the Cubs around high school hitters a lot. Something to watch for.
  10. I'd be curious to know how the Cubs view Jace LaViolette right now. I know he's slipping due to the swing and miss issues, but the Cubs have been taking a lot of guys with power in recent years as their main tool. Our system needs more power prospects too imo.
  11. Hyped for Sanders debut at AAA today. Really curious to see that statcast data.
  12. I wont be surprised if Wiggins is up on the Cubs late in the season out of the bullpen.
  13. Trevor Bauer is a piece of horsefeathers. There is a reason no one will touch him with a 10 foot pole.
  14. Yeah. I remember being excited about his potential originally during the Darvish trade. Who knows? Maybe hes a late bloomer. Thanks for the run down.
  15. Its almost certainly starts at Horton, Shaw, Alcantara+. As good as Skenes is, I'm not sure I do that right now. Especially with the risk of injury that pitchers face. It's an interesting thought exercise though. I dont see Skenes getting moved for another couple years though since the Pirates are dumb to not cash in on him now while they have nothing.
  16. I mean that's fair. I can see why people would hate it right now. I'm a believer that he will return to form and yeah right now I am hesitant to give that up. 2 months from now we could be having a completely different convo though if he gets back to form and I think that particular package would be fair compensation. It doesnt really kill us depth wise either. I will admit it does hinge a little bit on Tucker resigning though.
  17. He's repeating this league right? He's what 22? Def something to monitor moving forward.
  18. lmao what a daily minor league thread, 7 games
  19. Yeah. I get where you're coming from. These next two months are going to be really interesting with him because if he even starts showing flashes again of what he was, I think there is going to be a bidding war for him.
  20. I'm guessing Hoyer would offer one of our OF (Alcantara/Cassie), a cost controlled pitcher (Wicks), maybe Triantos or Pedro Ramirez and a lottery ticket pitcher. That seems pretty fair to me. I dont think it crushes our depth too much. Idk maybe i'm completely off.
  21. I'm still a believer in Alcantara. I'm expecting him to have a stronger 2nd half hopefully. Based on a few articles I have read, it seems like GM's around the league are expecting it too. I would gladly make a trade for him still.
  22. I'm just dreaming on a rotation 2 years from now anchored by Horton and Wiggins. The next Wood-Prior combo please!
  23. Hope this is Horton's first dominant start. Love what I've seen so far from him. If I remember right, he was holding 97 into the 5th last start. Continue building that stamina. Loving his progress so far.
