  1. Personally, my conspiracy theory is that Jed's idiotic plan is to let Tucker walk at the end of the year and he's hoping one of Cassie or Alcantara claims RF with their performance this season. They will make some low ball offer to Tucker to say that they tried and then TR will cry poor.
  2. If Matt McClain stays healthy this year, I think he is gonna be scary this season for the Reds. Good player. I can see a world where the Reds are competitive.
  3. Yeah I'm not concerned about spring stats. These guys arent really pitching how they typically would in a game. They are likely working on different things.
  4. I feel like the Cubs always like having their prospects play multiple positions in the minors. I feel like that was a Theo directive. I remember when Teho took over he mentioned in an interview once that he wanted guys to be able to play multiple positions.
  5. God, I really want the Cubs to develop one of these international super prospects. I'd like to have a top 5 prospect in the game once again. It looks like the Brewers have two more of them potentially in the pipeline as well with Jesus Made and Luis Pena.
  6. I can see that. He has the frame to pack more muscle than Bellinger I think. Love the tools. Im hoping that two year burn is what happens with Chris Paciolla this year
  7. Yeah. Mathis just looks like a future pro. I think the bat will move quickly through the system. Hopefully, he can play 3B at a serviceable level when hes healthy. The guy im keeping a really close eye on this year is Eli Lovich. Hoping the Cubs struck gold again in the 11th like they did with Hope. There is a lot to like in his profile. Hoping he put on some more weight in the offseason.
  8. Yeah. I'm not concerned about Tucker at all. We have no clue what hes working on
  9. Horton stays healthy all year and establishes himself as the Ace of the staff by years end Shaw wins ROTY (maybe not that bold) Michael Busch has a 30 HR season The Cubs win 95 games and easily take the division Jaxon Wiggins takes a major step forward with his command and control and is a key contributor down the stretch.
  10. Brown in the 5 spot would be nice. His stuff is filthy.
  11. Yeah it was absolutely surreal. I remember looking at my Dad, thinking that's a torn ACL. Pretty sure the entirety of the 03 season is a core memory for me haha
  12. I'm gonna be honest I completely forgot about Turner lol. I havent heard anything from him this ST.
  13. Yeah I get you. So he could back up Busch at 1B at times against tough lefties, mostly. It's the one thing were missing on the bench imo. It is nice he's the lefty that can back up all 3 INF positions, especially since Berti is RH. I like that quite a bit.
  14. Agree. I'm more than ok with keeping Workman over him. I think the backup CF role issue is overblown. Tucker and Suzuki can play there in a pinch and we have Alcantara right there in AAA and we know he is capable of plus D out there along with tremendous upside with the bat. I wish Workman was a righty but we can work around that since he plays great D. I cant recall, have they played him at any COF spots this spring? I recall him maybe playing RF a couple times.
  15. I was at that game that he tore his acl at sitting right along the 1B line. For some reason I just recall hearing this loud pop and then he was on the ground after running to 1B. The entire stadium was silent. I was a big Patterson guy at the time. He's such a massive "what if" for me.
  16. I have to imagine Brujan doesnt make it through waivers either. Id like to keep him at AAA but I imagine a team that can offer him more playing time to try to establish himself would pick him up. He'd fit well on a lot of "rebuilding" teams.
  17. Not if the sword is signed by Randy Jackson
  18. They need to send Detroit a low level prospect or something. Workman should make the team imo. I get Brujan offers more versatility defensively but his bat is vomit worthy.
  19. Has anyone seen any of Casey Mize this spring? Looks like hes had a good one. I wonder if this is the year he can get back to his 2021 form. This would be his second year back after TJS too.
  20. I cant wait for the rest of the NL Central to absolutely despise PCA as he robs hit after hit and showboats.
  21. I saw that. If thats all it takes to extend him that contract should be in front of him right now. Ricketts is too cheap to do that type of deal though. I think he gets north of $400 mil though
