    You've really convinced yourself that you'd make a better GM, haven't you? What difference does it make how Goony would be as a GM? The bottom line is that this team has holes that aren't being filled, which it's the GM's responsibility to do. That, coupled with the fact that we've missed the playoffs each of the last 2 years with a top 5 (I believe) payroll, and there's no way to can qualify Jim Hendry's recent tenure as anything other than a disappointment.

    Ohio State should have played Florida State in the BCS, it could be the battle between Hundred Dollar Handshakes and Free Shoes. Let those teams battle it out for the Dirty Program Championship. Would you prefer to drop the holier-than-thou attitude now, or when JoePa and the Nittany Lions get whipped in Miami? Maybe a slice of humble pie would do those in PA well right now. I'm shaking in my winter boots Which you purchased legally.

    NUN, have you ever considered the possibility that most of these athletes come from fairly well-to-do families? Also, what of parents who might buy their children cars as a congratulations gift or as a joke thanks for not making them pay for their college? I have also heard of families taking out loans based on the guaranteed future wealth of their child. I believe that is how Lebron got his hummer. Also worth noting that I read a ESPN article on Leinart saying he pretty much lived in a dump with 3 roommates, and drove some old POS car. I was about a year ago though, so it may have changed. I like Leinart (that hurt to say). Leinart drove a POS car!?!? Wow, his folks live in a $5 million house in the OC. I thought that a 5 million dollar house in the OC only had 2 bedrooms and a bath? That sounds about right for Orange County

    I disagree. I just think those that know their antics won't be tolerated, or in some respects have been banned because of, are a little jealous of the contacts that this site has developed. Jealousy runs deep for some. Nah, they're not jealous - they just don't care. I visit both here and Desipio, and for different reasons. I was just pointing out a personal opinion with the sychophantic comment - but I really believe it, people love to jump on bandwagons here. In 03, love dusty, love hendry, - now, hate both. up until 2005, love corey - now, hate him. Everyone's always asking Bruce Miles questions when I think cpatt20 (even though I disagree with him on 99.9% of stuff), vance, diffusion, etc., know just as much if not more about the Cubs. edit: I will say congrats to the mods of this website for developing the contacts they have - it's very impressive and shows the amount of time put into this site. I just wish people had more of their own opinion sometimes, and were more supportive of the Cubs, example: booing Corey, how is that going to help anything when he's still a Cub? because everyone on this site, who all share the same opinion, have gotten together and decided it was a great idea to boo Corey.
