  1. Signs of a manager that has ZERO confidence in his hitters. He PH for the guy who not only is his leadoff hitter but also, best defensive 1st basemen, and someone who is one of your better hitters, in the 6th inning just because a lefty is on the mound and hes a lefty hitter. 🫩🫩🫩
  2. Good pitchers, bad pitchers, rookies, old vets It doesn't matter who on the mound for opponents now, Cubs hitters will continue to struggle
  3. Funny how opponents can fall behind 0-2 and draw a walk or get a hit, while our guys get ahead 2-0 and end up striking out or make a weak out 🫩🫩🫩
  4. For me, just saying with that lineup, he just put the top guys at the bottom so it basically the same lineup but in reverse and instead of them killing rallies being at the top, theyll just kill them at the bottom..lol. The main 3 guys that needs to be split up now in this lineup are Tucker, Suzuki, and PCA, they cant be bunched at top or bottom. Happ can sit or just lower in order for all i care with him.
  5. Only problem with this is it just in reverse, top guys will get on and bottom 4 will end the rallies. Gotta find a way to split up Tucker Suzuki and Happ, also where is Busch, who playing first
  6. Happ should sit the whole weekend and just let Caissie play.
  7. He can still mix it up, nothing wrong with putting Hoerner and Shaw closer to the top and separate Tucker Suzuki Happ and PCA a bit. How many times do we need to see the 7-9 guys start a rally only to have those guys at the top destroy it
  8. Yea, cant figure out why Counsell just keeps the same 4 struggling bats on top instead of mixing thembup a bit. Sometimes a different look for these guys in the order helps
  9. I think we'll have some sort of idea which way to go as far as not caring about the Brewers anymore and focusing on the Reds after the Brewers series.
  10. Well no, but we have zero idea who going to be on their roster after 2026. I dont think theyll trade Hoerner this coming offseason, I just feel 2026 will be his last season with the cubs and depending on how the season going, they might look to move him at the deadline or just let him play out the season.
  11. You really think theyre going to extend Hoerner after 2026? he'll either get traded at 2026 deadline depending on how team is doing or he'll just finish out the year.(more likely to happen)
  12. If it comes to that, I'd pass if im the Cubs. Id rather they just go with Caissie PCA and whomever in the OF over going through another season of playing extend him or not extend him and likely having him leave if he has a good year. 2026 Cubs will likely be built around Busch Shaw PCA and Caissie as the main core with Swanson being that contract guy they cant move. Guys like Happ Hoerner Suzuki will likely be moved at the deadline or play out the season if not traded in offseason
  13. Yea, Castro was just a fallback plan for Shaw if he went back into suckland, and to basically get guys some off days. There was no hope for him to be a guy to ignite the offense just a reliable utility player when needed. Cubs problem are the regulars
  14. IDK, maybe it was better not having Nico in scoring position with Swanson up 🙄🙄🙄🙄
