    Isn't it WS or bust when you trade away your top prospects for a year of a player, or rental piece at deadline ? Im not upset they traded Cam Smith but when you trade a top prospect for a player, you'd like it to be for a player with control in return or a rental player that helps gets you to the LCS or WS at least

    This cubs lineup would probably be striking out an average 10-12 times a game facing most of the pitching back in the 80s and 90s , getting shutout left and right given how they can struggle hard against teams 3-5 in their rotation now. 😂😂

    We'll see.. Point is why bring them up if theyre not going to play, im not talking about starting every game for now on, but theyre here. Counsell the one who wanted to shake this up, then play them. These two kids aren't Nicki lopez where you just sit them until whenever, they need AB, and if not with the Cubs then send them back to Iowa and bring up 2 other kids to sit on bench. This offense needs a spark right now, play them for a couple games and see if they can provide some, or he can just continue with what hasn't worked for the last 2 weeks and stick with the same guys. We've seen kids come up plenty of times and reignited an offense/pitching/teams over the years to get them rolling, it wont hurt to see if one or both can do that for them now that theyre here.

    Who said they would ? They brought them up, Counsell mentioned shaking up the lineup, then shake it up and play them.

    If he really wanted to shake it up, he plays Alcantara, Ramirez, and Conforto tomorrow. Benching Happ for Conforto wasn't much of a shakeup to the lineup.
