This is what I felt a couple weeks ago, his OB and OPS were study because of mostly all the walks he has been taking. His Avg and Slg has dropped because hes simply not getting pitches to hit or drive anymore. I dont think after 2 months that finger is still bothering him and if it was/is then they should of taken advantage of the AS break and IL him the week before to give his finger time to heal instead of playing with it.

Cause while the Cubs decided to start playing 500 ball the last 30 games, the Brewers chose to take advantage and started playing 800 baseball over that time. IF Cubs would have won 5 more and the Brewers loss 5 more then all would be good in cubs country 😏

Theyll get in, I dont see this team totally collapsing nor do I see the reds going on any kind of run to overtake them.

Exactly what needs to be done. once the season ends fire Hawkins and Jed needs to bring in a guy who will handle all players acquisitions, but i wouldn't be surprised if they just fire Hawkins and not hire a GM so TR wont have to pay a guy to have that title.

If they win the division that would be great, but today, id be happy if the cubs could just right themselves and finish the season strong with momentum heading into the playoffs. Do no worse then the no.1 WC spot and get to the NLCS and beat the crap out of the Brewers there as their luck runs out.😅

I just keep keep the volume low but yea it would be cool to just listen to the sounds of feeling like youre there. I cant remember if it was NFL or College, think it was College, but they did it back in the 80s for a game.

If they lose tonight, I'd be totally ok with seeing Berti, Castro, McGuire, and Turner tomorrow night and sit Happ Tucker etc . Give those guys 2 full days off

Didn't even consider that Hawkins could be the fall guy as his contract expires after the season. So yes, maybe Hoyer should consider hiring a guy that will be the actual GM of this team and make the players decisions . 🤷♂️

Or it could just be the players, Brewers were good with him too and the Cubs haven't been all that great without him til this season despite the last 2 months. SP for the Cubs been up and down, bullpen had its moments but overall down, bench sucks, hitters look like they been on an early Vacation since June. I do agree that he doesn't seem like the kind of manager that lights fire under his players when needed and that probably his downfall with his teams.
